Kbird
I use the BMW type plugs. Here are a couple site with pictures of different set-ups. http://www.electricalconnection.com/power-...tion/pplate.htm http://www.powerletproducts.com/products/s...ke_rearset2.php I only use the BMW plug for my vest which is tucked under the seat when needed, my GPS and radar detector is hardwired to the handlebars so I just unplug from there when I want to remove them. dennis
Eastern Beaver has a strange name but some decent electical products. You can check Painless Performances' Cirkit Boss,Centech or Blue Sea for a fuse block-power strip and add a relay to a switched hot wire. Some like the cirkit boss have some switched and at least one always hot terminals. If your short on $$ you can get every thing you need at Radio Shack.I have two hot Powerlet sockets up front and and a Blue Sea 5025 fuse block[switched] for hard wired accessories like my heated grips,xm and my detector. PlasticxxHead
I have hard wired most of my farkles staright to the battery.. I like being able to turn on my gps when the key os off.. Ialso have my escort(radar) harwired to check the battery voltage when the bike ie off.. A radio shack unit will work fine as long as you don't over tax your Stator while running,,, Good luck
