airborneXX
And welcome aboard, you're going to love your new 'bird. Treat it with respect and enjoy. It's fuel injected so it should run just fine. New tires, oil, and battery and you should be good to go.

Red J
I'd: 1. Pull tank and airbox. 2. Drain tank until empty. 3. Pull spark plugs. 4. Spray Seafoam deep creep or Aerokroil or Kroil into the cylinders. 5. Verify engine has oil and level is good. 6. Put a charger on the battery. 7. Spin over engine with starter to run oil through crankcase. Do this a few times with some breaks in between. Maybe put a rag over the plug holes to catch the mist that will inevitably come out. You are working the chemical into the ring lands. Respray a few times, but don't spray without cranking to eliminate the chemical from the combustion chamber. Also verify during cranking that engine oil light goes out (that engine develops some pressure) 8. Reinstall plugs. 9. Install airbox and tank. 10. Fill with new fuel and a fresh half-can of Seafoam. 11. Drain engine oil. 12. Refill with new oil and new filter. 13. Run engine. 14. Take for a ride, and make sure engine gets warm. Do this a few times. 15. Do another oil change. Done. Now go change the tires, they're old. (We used to do this at a shop I worked at, when we'd get old jalopies from crusty old owners too cheap to pay for an engine inspection on an old Porsche or Saab or Alfa Romeo. It's probably anal, but the cost and effort is far cheaper and easier than an engine teardown to free up rusted ass rings and such.)
Flitemdic
Red J is bang on- the voice of experience it sounds. Something similar to restarting after storing a powerboat for lengthy periods while I lived in the desert, only a lot more fun in the end result. Enjoy. Helvet
Don't forget to change all hydraulic fliuds (brake and clutch). Be sure to test the brakes to check if the pads aren't stuck.....
