  1. Thanks John, I appreciate the help Steve
  2. Thanks for the kind words Joel One quick question for all of the experts here: Does anyone know if there was any type of recall for the 2001 model Birds? Thanks, Steve
  3. Yeah, thought I would try eBay for the hell of it. If it ends up near a reasonable price, I will let it go. steve
  4. LOL. Yeah, I ditched my webbed feet about 7 years back though after I left Everett
  5. Hi Randy, I am from Washington State. It is still here if anyone is interested. No rush to sell, will just keep it around and see what happens. Steve
  6. Skull, you of course are entitled to your own opinion, and I do respect it. As noted though, I did speak with several of the members here, and that is extremely close to what the consensus was (with regards to an initial asking price). And as noted by Tim, yes, that is why I put OBO after it. I am a realist here, but I am also not going to just give it away. Thank you kindly though to the other posts in this thread Hi Redwing, I will send you a PM here in a second. Steve
  7. Admins can lock/delete this thread if they wish.
  8. What's up Tim? Just saw this feature, so I thought I would say hi. :)

    Take care,

    Steve

  9. Looks really good man I can't wait to get my own place and be able to do stuff like that. In the meantime though, I LOVE watching those DIY shows-there is SO much good information on them! Amy Devers (sp) is really hot too So how square was your area that you tiled there? Did you lay them in any particular order? Lastly, what size spacer did you use? I especailly like watching the tiling portions on TV. Never new anything about tiling, but now I would feel confident laying some in a room that was nice and square and only required minimal-if any-cutting. Steve
  10. Yup, I am about ready to do mine. I also flush out and refill the coolant at this time too. Dale's (Warchild's) article on how to do this is a great reference. steve
  11. Jambie, I have followed it before with no problems at all. I'd have to double check, but I don't know if there is mention of the drain plug in the block in that article. In order to get all the coolant out, you need to remove the drain plug from the engine block. If you are not sure where it is, the manual will show you. Getting all the air out is really easy too. Just follow the steps. And make sure to have a wide/big enough catch for the coolant that comes out! Especially when you are blowing it out. Personally, I rigged up a contraption that covered the drain, and focused it better into the catch pan, that way it would not splash everywhere. Ohh, and have the manual nearby just in case. And make sure to protect your tank and everything else from the coolant (as mentioned in the article)! I took the rad. cap off a bit too soon on one occasion, and a bit got on my tank. I have never moved so quick in my life to get it rinsed off Thankfully, no damage was done :icon_pray: So when it says to let the bike cool down, you really need to heed(sp) that warning. Its also fun to cruise for a few with the right and left sides off. She looks good partially nekkid You may also need a new clip or two when you put them back on. I needed one for the lower left connection. When filling the overflow, I also had a family member fill it from the top (slowly) while I checked the level from the right side. It is much easier that way in my opinion. I also flashed a little light on the tank to see the fluid better. That is about all I can think of Steve
  12. I used the search for a number of minutes, but could not find the writeup. Can someone please post it again? Thanks. Steve
  13. Thats pretty darn cool. Thanks for sharing
  14. Yup, my 01 does the exact same thing. Never worried too much about it though It is only from neutral to first too.
  15. I'm a bit of a luddite , so how do I do that, please. :icon_duh: Go up to the members tab in the top right corner. Click on it, and then you will see a thing on the right that lets you select a letter corresponding to the first letter of a members screen name. Scroll down to Z, and tab to the second page. There you will see "Zentime". Click on his name, and you will see where you can send him a PM to the right (will say send Private Message to....").
  16. Very cool looking. It almost looks like a piece of abstract art (and I mean that in a complimentary way )
  17. Come on down, I'll give you a world famous dip. You've missed it for 15 months................... No doubt! Maybe I just overlooked it prior to the software update. As mentioned though, it is a damn nice place you got there! :icon_thumbsup:
  18. Dang, cant believe I missed this thread :icon_think: That is a very nice looking house Todd
  19. Yes, Blackhawk ratchets are top-notch. I received a sweet ratchet set back in 1994 as a present, and I have used that thing COUNTLESS times-absoloutely NO problems whatsoever! Still turns like it did twelve years ago; absoloutely no play at all.
  20. Cannot help too much on 1 and 2 (will let the pros better address them ), but my 2001 definetly "clunks" (does not grind though) when shifting from neutral to first. Always has. That is the only gear though; does not do that in any other gear. Seems strange to have clutch issues at that mileage :?
