bajjer9
Well looks like I am to smart for my own good. I lost a regulator about 2 months ago then another this week. Turns out my stator killed it. Ordered a stator from a 99. I thought since I use heated gear a lot I would go with that one for the higher output. While searching the board for part numbers I mistakenly ordered a 99 regulator as well. Hell I figured I could make it work but it just doesnt work right. Idles at 14v and puts out 17-19 volts at higher rpms. I had both double overnighted since my bird is my only transportation. I am currently running an F3 regulator until I can get another R1 unit. For anyone that may be considering this (I recall seeing a question or two about it) stick with either a stock unit or an R1 unit
Rider99XX
Hey James, I know where you can get a pretty nice but slightly used Royal roach brown  Chrysler as a second ride while the Bird is down  If interested just let me know. Good luck on your repairs.

Rider99XX
Hey James, I'll offer you the same deal I offered Kenny. One 1993 Plymouth Grand Voyager minivan. Only 232,798.4 EASY hwy miles. Only driven to church on sundays and to the bakery on mondays. Well two trips to the Gap 8) . It has a 3.3 litre V6, XM radio, AM/FM/CD, a brand new set of DUBs, rooftop luggage rack  . It is white outside, blue inside. Gets 27 mpg. Will tow a trailer like mine with the Bird on it with no problem. I offered to trade Kenny my excellant minivan PLUS a 20 inch Murray push mower with a 3.5 hp Briggs & Stratton engine, straight up for his Envoy. Can you believe he turned such a GREAT offer down? I think he has his eye on a slightly used Royal roach brown Chrysler. Huh, go figure.
