Al Sprocket Failure

Wanted to take a pic, but No time this am

1) AFAM 520 Al(hardened) rear sprocket

2) Mileage--6-7K

3) Bike--929

4) bike kind of lurched at the end of a lap--pulled in the paddock

5) Inspected Sprocket--6 teeth remaining out of 45--F*&&^ckn A

Lesson learned--I knew the sprocket was marginal--and I had bought a new chain, rear, front--brought it with me---I asked Dan how far gone the sprocket was, he said change it NOW---cheap bastard that I am, I thought I could do two more days on it--well I got 1-1/2---and I was really lucky--Just swapped the sprocket--went on my merry way
