scubajohn Posted June 13, 2003 Share Posted June 13, 2003 I just switched to the K&N and I did not feel a loss or a gain but I did not dyno it so itcant be much. Now on some vehicles it makes a BIG differance. The only good thing about the k&N is its the last filter you will have to buy for the bird. MaXX Posted June 16, 2003 Share Posted June 16, 2003 You are not going to get much HP in a change from the stock air filter. What you get is a less maintenance intensive air filter. With changing the plugs every 8-10k miles, you need to be under the tank anyway, but if you buy the iridiums and a K&N, you can leave both in there a lot longer. spEEdfrEEk Posted June 19, 2003 Share Posted June 19, 2003 The K&N is a wasted purchase unless you have an aftermarket exhaust and can run the bigger 140 main jets on a carbed bike. It was hurting my performance pretty badly until after I threw on some Jardines slipons.
