Anybody have any idea what weight of oil showa uses

in the xx or f4 shock ?

Thanks

Herb

BTW after taking apart an old xx shock i noticed that the adjustement appears to effect the compression and

rebound as there is no internal check valve.

Aquamax in the garage? Can this be good? :poke:

Fork is 10w.

And he did say shock, which I'm guessing he meant, seeing how I recently sent him one for experimental purposes

Sorry, Herb, I'm no help.

Thanks for the reply, but i meant rear shock oil. I think

the stock fork is 10 , but i use 5 in mine with racetech vavles

I've been hanging round the traxxion forum and they seem agree

stock f4 shock oil is a version of 10 , though thet use an iso measurement there. :)

Red bird , I regret to inform you that your shock died in the name of science

But i think many parts will live on as they are mixed and matched with a

f4i shock that it on its way. The seller has already left me positive feed back , so i trust he has actually sent it . Im also hoping to mix a VFR

preload adjuster in there somewhere

Acording to the ohlins website a f4 shock is only 12mm (.5 inch) shorter

the xx so i think i can make up the difference at the top mount.

The 929 shock from bay didn't show up

and the guy i bought it off is suspended from ebay  He sent me a email today(auction closed on the 8) saying it was in the mail but

im not holding my breath) It was only a few bucks , but it still pisses me off.
