porterb123
My 2000 model had an Ohlins rear installed when I bought it. I was thinking of shimming the rear by 6mm as suggested by others, but....is the Ohlins the same length as the stocker, or adjustable for length?? Thanks Porter
Redbird
is the Ohlins the same length as the stocker, or adjustable for length?? It's one or the other, depending on the model. Does that help? Take a look at the bottom of the shock, you should be able to tell......
porterb123
I call myself looking at the bottom to see....did not notice a collar to adjust...will look tonight. :???: PLB
azxr
If I remember on the Ohlins for ours, mine, there is no length adjustment. However, the manual that comes with it states you can adjust it, but it lies.

Mine is adjustable---you can even do it on the bike--you'll need a 24mm open end wrench
porterb123
OK, mine is non adjustable. So, from the replies above, the Ohlins NON adjustable is the same length as the stock unit and can be shimmed up to 6mm with no handling quirks?? :???: Porter
Northman
Mine is actually slightly longer than the stocker, and I have the 6mm spacer on the top, as well. Works just fine, IMO.
