Got my Akra system yesterday.

Nice,

You may have to washer out the radiator center mount and the left side fairing. My 99 with a full system required this and a little cutting of the left fairing way down low.

I would recommend that you cover the radiator with cardboard or something to keep it from getting dinged during install.

Center stand has to go as it will hit the chain.

Thanks for the warning on the radiator. I'll have an easy time installing:

I'll reinstall the centerstand after I build a stop for it. I want the CS onboard.

I have Akra slip-ons mated to a Jap header system. I thought the Akra welds were beautiful till I saw the Jap welds. On a scale of 10 the Akra welds are a 9, Jap welds a 10+
How much do the Akra slip-ons cost in the USA?

Here in Holland they will be about $ 1000,--

And how much for a full 4 in 2 system? We pay about $ 1400,--

J Red, You can keep your centerstand. Two-Bros. offers a bracket to

retain your centerstand. It bolts to your lower shock mount.

I don't have a pic of the bracket. Sorry.

One other note: The Akra pipe scapes easily. Raise your ride

hieght. Shim your shock. I've got a Penske 8981 so raising

it was easy.

As you can see, I still have my centerstand.

I'm planning to make a bracket for the stand. I have a swingarm stand, and have added tabs on the underside of the swingarm to bolt spools to in the meantime. I have a chain oiler, so I'm not sure if I care that the centerstand gets on there real fast.

I'm hoping to get an Ohlins and my forks revalved for Christmas. For now, I'll shim the shock. I'm also in Kansas, there's not a great deal of curves...

Thanks for the comments.
