Tried to order some EBC HH pads from cyclebrakes.com but they were on backorder ended up going with the galfer HH pads...I had no choice as I am dangerously close to metal to metal contact...are the galfer pads anygood? the general consensus from my search is the EBC pads...any info on the galfers?

I run the Galfer greens as well. They work great in the dry and don't require much heat up time. The only thing I don't like about them is that they TOTALLY SUCK in wet riding, mushy as hell and take a while to dry out. Next set I buy will be EBC HH's

The galfer greens are not the HH compound. They are the next level down I believe and one level up from the galfer blacks. They are an organic pad, not metalic like the HH's, made from Kevlar i think. They really suck up the water when wet and take a while to dry out and are mushier than anything I've used when wet. Didn't think they'd be that bad till I tried them. They take a while to get used to in the rain and you have to drag your brakes to keep them halfway dry. They are a great pad in the dry though and don't require much warm-up time at all. The next set of pads I get though will be HH compound in either the EBC or Galfer brands, and what I've heard the HH's don't get as mushy as the greens in the wet.

The EBC's don't grab right away when wet, either, so no advantage there. I've been running them for over a year and like them better than the stockers. Next mod will be steel lines.
