birdie_xx
Sorry if it's repeated, but here is a quick one. I red the mod from Carlos on the main page. He mentions the lines length for raised bars. I'm looking for an imput for the stock bars, from those who did the conversion - just the lines, not the delinking. Does 30" and 31" seem right or is that to long ? Also when you run simple two lines to the right and left calipers, are there any OEM parts that will be left out or not ? Do more of you have two different line ends like Carlos, by the mastercylinder, one straight, one 12 degree ? I don't want the Galfer kit, because the ends are polished which I don't care about and Spiegler doesn't offer just the simple front lines - they couldn't tell me the front line's length..... porterb123
Peter, I am looking at my drawing of the 2 front lines I had made up to fit the Helibars. I used a longer banjo bolt at the mc and did a line from there to each caliper. Left caliper line 31" Right caliper line 28". Fittings on the mc end are straight There is plenty of slack in each line with the helibars raised all the way up on the fork tubes. I used a cable tie to hold the lines together under the nose...looks good..no excess slack that way. If you are using stock clipons, you could reduce the length by an inch.
