  4. Hmmmm.... I have none of the issues you guys experience. :???: '99 'Bird - I installed the K&N mainly for the long time savings factor. Didn't nottice any difference. Maaaaany miles later, the mileage dropped a significant amount, but I installed new slip-ons (B.O.S.) and new GIVI bags..... When I took the filter out and cleanned it - man it sure needed it, the mileage whent back higher . But I also changed the plugs at that time. My bike definatelly doesn't run lean nor hot. YMMV....... Cheers,

  9. Dale went back to the OEM one, after long and painfull ordeal with Electrex.... Cheers,
  10. As designed, they won't fit together, but if you are handy then it could be done, I guess..... I like the additional break light and many customers go for it, but not everybody. One thing to remember - if you have three bags and install the light, only this one case will mount then on the top. Some people like the fact that it doesn't matter which bag goes where.... it changes when you add the plug. Cheers, P.S. BTW, if you go with the short OEM t.signalls and the side bags, they won't be visible from the side in the daylight......
  11. Not true if there is a group standing and watching you...... the rims are custom or the tire is WHITE..... :fingerflip: Cheers,
  12. I just corrected the LED link.......sorry ! Cheers,
  13. I can't find the bulb comparison, I just saw few days ago.... But here is one (the Mtec is not mentionned though...) http://www.zx-12r.org/Motorcycle_info/Info...ulbs%20Test.htm The Phillips Vision Plus seems to be favored again..... California Sport Touring http://www.casporttouring.com has them at $38 a pair ! Here BTW is a source for LED lights, even 90 degree ones..... http://www.superbrightleds.com/ The test I can't find , rated the Phillips very high. The Sylvania Silverstar and True Blue were slightly behind..... (True Blue behind Silverstar, but not much !) It was an European test and the bulbs tested were actually Osram, which I belive is the same company as Sylvania..... BTW, I know nothing about the Mtec............... They seem exxpensive though. Cheers,
  14. To yourself ?!  Cheers,
  15. As per MCN ...... http://www.mcnews.com/mcn/technical/200403...mmunicators.pdf The Acrobat Reader needed..... Cheers,
  16. ...and I see dead people !  Cheers,

  19. If you are reffering to parts 4, 18 and 25 .... my '99 has them. http://www.ronayers.com/fiche/200_0351/bac...back_mirror.cfm BTW, I've never had any problems removing the screws, neither the '97XX nor the '99...... Cheers,

    VFR Bars

You know what has more relaxed riding position ?! THE ST1300 ! Cheers,
  22. birdie_xx

    VFR Bars

Yes, but he's asking for the Heli version for the VFR bars, which would make them higher than the bars you have. BTW, I'm sorry I didn't know that. I would like to sit on the XX with the VFR bars, to see how they feel.... :???: Cheers,
  23. Hmm... :???: Somehow it works in the "long time" for me..... I just replaced my second chain at 64K miles.......... Cheers,
  24. birdie_xx

    VFR Bars

That would be the V-tech VFR bars, and you may need different cables and hoses if you go with higher bars = Heli VFR.......... Cheers,
  25. Have you looked here ? http://www.ronayers.com/fiche/200_0351/tur...turn_signal.cfm #'s 2 and 7 are for the '97/'98 model , the 18 and 19, for the '99-on..... http://www.ronayers.com/fiche/200_0351/bac...back_mirror.cfm #'s 6 and 12 are the complete asemblies, sans the t.signalls !!! They also skip the mounting bolts. From here, click on the color tables, to find the correct color for your year.... http://www.ronayers.com/fiche/200_0351/bac...back_mirror.cfm IS your bike '97/'98 ? The part number you posted indicates the early model.......... Cheers,
