    Speedo recal.

i also normally ride with the gps on. but i went with the calibrator because i want my speedo to read right. fuckin bike makers need to start making accurate speedos. this "error" shit is bullshit. anyway, the odo being off with the calibrator is just a trade off for having a corrected speedo and not that big of a deal, imho. so its off 6%. thats 60 miles per 1000. so if you change oil at 3k your really changing oil at 2820 :poke: . or if you normally get 7k tire wear your really getting 6580. just tell your friends that you ride harder now so your tires wear faster  . only you will know.
  2. nice view in the middle pic. my girlfriend and i were looking at land in colorado last fall to buy as an investment, but didnt buy any. she loves the mountain views. i cant let her see this page.

    Speedo recal.

my odo is off too, it was right on with the gps when i had stock gearing and no recalibrator. it now reads about 95 miles when the actual mileage is 100. so the little box is keepin miles off the bike, ya gotta love that.
  4. with the 16 tooth front my top speed on the gps is 172. i also have a 2 bros full system and pc2 and my mileage is better than a few other stock birds that i have taken long trips with.
  5. the walmart one is a super tech st6607.

    Speedo recal.

i have mine set at 12%. it reads the same as the gps at various speeds up to 100. i never really paid attention after that. except top end, the speedo says 175 & the gps reads 172. 3mph off at 170 + aint bad.

    Speedo recal.

these do work great. i've had one for over a year. plug & play is definitely the way to go. make sure you mount the box where you can get to it easily for calibration, i zip tied mine to the right framework under the seat.
  8. i have a 2 bros full system with aluminum can. its actually quiet. i love it.
  9. pics loaded fine for me, just way too slooow on my dial up. fence looks great. the digger machine looks cool too. i just helped a buddy of mine use the 2-person one from home depot and it is a lot to wrestle around. his yard was chocked full of rocks which didnt help matters much. if you feel like doing another fence come on down.
  10. you mean you have to dig down 4' (feet) not 4" (inches) right? thats pretty common around here. why not just buy longer posts?
  11. that would be X-11. i doubt that the ZX-11 parts are compatable with the XX.
  12. one of my local stores is starting to carry more low carb stuff. i picked up some Lawrys Carb Options bbq sauce and its excellent. and only 3 net carbs. they also have a good assortment of ice cream bars & low carb milk. they are expensive though, compared to the regular stuff. the milk was $2.99 for a 1/2 gallon. i'll let you know the name of the stuff next time i go there, suffering from crs now. the sara lee low carb bread is good also and about the cost of a regular name brand loaf.
  13. a long time ago mac posted a link to handy stands and a nice little write up about them. i purchased a set, they were only about $108 delivered and they work great. http://www.handyindustries.com/welcome.asp
  14. i used some leftover carbon fiber decal to dress up my stock bar ends. they looked pretty cool.
  15. i've never ran into that problem. if its what joel said then you may just need to rewire the motor. some fan motors are multi-speed, different wires for different speeds. might be worth a shot. good luck.
  16. subway usually puts coupons in the sunday paper around here. should bring the price down a bit. i'm gonna have to try some.
  17.   :cycle: < tim in the parking lot.
  18. i've got some vanilla ice cream for you, J  . i've been around, just not posting much.
  19. i bet you get a lot of strange looks at walmart, tim.
  20. this should make the electricians cringe. 7 years ago i remodeled the upper part of my house and in the meantime i had forgotten how big of a hack the previous guy was. this past weekend i tore into the addition to remodel it. when i got the drywall down i couldnt believe that my house hadnt burned down already. we use romex around here, not pipe. so in one of the corners he had 2 pieces of romex spliced together, siliconed (yes silicone, no electrical tape(( not that tape would have been any better)) and stuffed under the drywall. not pulled through a hole in the studs. not even notched studs so the drywall would sit flush. just packed into the corner and drywalled over. on another wall he had spliced some wires with wire nuts, i guess being in the middle of a wall and not in a corner there was room for the nuts  . i tore the garage down and rebuilt 4 years ago and was amazed at the wiring in there too. i'm no electrician. but when i hook up a light i put the power to the switch, the switch interupts the power sending it to the light to turn the light on & off. well, he did just the opposite. he had the power going to the light and the ground would be interupted by the switch. this turned the lights on & off just fine. but if i ever would have broken a bulb (which happens from time to time in a garage) and grabbed the broken part with pliers to remove it from the socket... :bigshock: . i know i should turn off the breaker but who actually does that to remove a light bulb.

    Motorcycle ramps

i just purchased ramps from atvexpress. not the one you listed, joe, just 2 of the regular ramps. i havent tried it yet, but my plan was to walk the bike into my truck with the bike on one ramp and me on the other. they look like they are well made and shipping was fast. i found them on ebay.
  22. it is that easy, if your talking about the bolts with a taper & sleeve on bottom and threads on top.
  23. put the brakeclean can down and slowly back away from the filter!    get the kit from k&n. it has enough cleaner and oil to last almost forever. and its about 11 bucks at most parts stores, walmart, etc.
  24. http://www.goldeagle.com/sta-bil/ as Involute said, you can get it at any parts store. or walmart, kmart, etc.
