I was prepared to pay much more money for the results that I got. :-o
At first, I was looking at buying a smaller master cylinder for the front lever (stock is 1/2" on both bikes, 12.7mm), but the problem is - most "big" bikes have a 14mm, 5/8", or even 3/4" master cylinder (which is getting bigger=less leverage), and the only way to go smaller would be to go to a DIRT BIKE master, which are in the 11, 12mm range. The problem with that is that those masters don't have brake switches, and are also designed for single-piston single-disc systems and have very small resivoirs (would be a pain in the ass to bleed). So increasing the caliper piston area was really the only viable alternative (short of replacing the front end, of course).
Once the testimonials start coming in, this will really catch on. I figure I just have to wait for someone else to do it. :???:
If you guys need help figuring out the length of your crossover cable - here's what I did: I pulled the thick AC cable off the back of my monitor, draped it over the fender, routed the cable exactly as I would route the crossover, marked it with permanent marker, pulled it off, straigtened it, then measured it. Then I added 1cm to be safe. Remeber, it's fitting banjo hole center-to center length, and the fittings have a 40ยบ bend at each end.
Like I said, If someone installs it - give me the length and I will put it on the page so the CBRXX guys will have it, too.
