pulled all the weights off of both wheels the other day and went with Dynabeads. bike rides very smooth and is always in balance while riding. I think the whole kit cost $13.

If I had a nickle for every time I've said that.

Where are they located? -
Hey John, anything ever happen with those mirror spacers you purchased? Anything ever go into production?
-
Sounds like you have one hell of a powder coater. Does he do house calls?
-
Thanks RU. Everything turned out beautiful. I would like to match the wheels to the original matte of the frame.
-
Any pics? I'd like to see how the satin black looks on the wheels.
-
Prices are all over for powder coating. Guy in the town over is saying $40 per but I'm a bit leery of his experience. Emailed a couple other places and one quoted $75 per and another quoted $250 for both. Think I need to stop in the local Harley dealer and get a recommendation of someone local who does quality work. powder or paint?
-
He said if the wheels need to be stripped it would be an extra $10 per wheel. Do the bearings need to be pressed in or do they go in and come out pretty easily?
-
Thinking of having my wheels powder coated a matte black with a clear over them to make them easier to clean. Are the wheels originally powder coated or are they painted? They seem to scratch fairly easy so that is the reason I ask. Since the wheels will be off I figure I may as well replace the tires. Anything else that needs replacing? Should the wheel bearings be replaced at this time? Bike only has 15k miles. Anything else I should be aware of? Want to get this done while the bike is down for the winter. Got a guy in the next town over who works as a metal refinisher and only wants $40 per wheel for the powder with a clear coat.

Why not go with the rear tire hugger which has a chain guard incorporated into it? I went with the pyramid which is very nice. Came a little twisted but a heat gun took care of that pretty quick.

Pretty sure all years are universal. That one on Ebay is similar to mine and I absolutely love mine. Very comfortable. The wife says it's comfortable for the passenger as well. -

There's one on Ebay right now that looks nice. Claims only 3000 miles of use. Ebay Item number: 280613134749 -
I'd be in for a set.

I thought about it. If the 2 different colors were on the left fairing I'd definitely be bidding too. Just my luck it's on the right one. Still a great deal either way. Nose cone looks very nice.

Emailed the seller asking if the pieces were mint as I have a couple scratches on my front fender and right side fairing. Most probably wouldn't bother replacing but I figured if the pieces being sold were "mint" I would consider it. Here's the response I received: Dear cityboy21, Yes they are mint condition.Except lower right fairing has a darker paint - evilmotosports Not sure why the paint would be darker. Repaint? Top part faded? Either way I think I'll stick with mine as it's not a big deal. Thought others might be interested in the response. Just looked at the pics again. Must be a repaint. Two completely different colors on the right fairing. Left side looks nice as does the fender. If anyone purchases and doesn't have a use for the fender I'd be interested if it is indeed mint.

Tank decals are off just a bit. LOL -
Thanks John. Do you know if I would be looking at a new or used part through Jaws? Really isn't an urgency for the part. Had the flash to pass on my Busa's and liked the feature. Used it quite a bit to be seen with. Nice to flash at an intersection when you just don't trust that guy looking like he is about to pull out in front of you. I know I could just use the high beam switch but pulling the trigger a couple times just seemed easier and quicker to me. I ride the Dan Ryan quite a bit in the summer when I ride to work and the flash to pass comes in handy to be seen there also. For me it's a nice feature to have that should have been included originally. Sames goes for flashing hazards. Should have been stock on the Birds. I think I will wait to see what Helvet can come up with. Hopefully he will have good news for me.

Ebay UK or US? A lot of sellers on Ebay UK don't like to ship to the US for some reason. I sent one seller, who has quite a bit of parts on there, an email last week and he hasn't responded plus I don't want to go through what RedEye did and purchase a piece of shit that isn't returnable nor usable . I'd like to get a "stock" switch in, at the very least, great condition. Who better to find that part through then fellow Bird owners. I'd even buy brand new if I could find one. Sent a couple emails out to parts dealers asking if they could get it and no go.

No affiliation with the seller. I bought one last week so have no use for this one but thought maybe someone else would. http://cgi.ebay.com/Corbin-Seat-Honda-CBR-...=item2eb04ca5fe

38 miles as the crow flies. If this is legit, I'll give you 130 plus shipping. $130 plus shipping still puts you around the $250 price of the original post. Paypal fee on $250 is $8 therefore the shipping/handling fee is $117. Hopefully it's one hour shipping. YIKES.
