  1. Heads up for anyone needing any of these. http://www.pashnit.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9969
  2. Where'd you get that for abuckfittynine? A band saw is the dogs dangles!
  3. didnt think about that... hmm... has to be able to be done somehow... maybe a different wheel all together? if a differrent swingarm is required so be it... now you got me thinking... hmmm... Chain has to stay inline with the CS. I had a 6.25 and with a 190 I was hitting the chain. I cut off the first 1/8 of rubber off the tire to clear the chain. You would have to go with a offset swingarm to get any wider.
  4. And be careful loosening them, they break very easy.
  5. I forget the weight of the xx wheels (heavy) but it is a significant reduction using the RC wheels. Everything goes for $1500.
  6. FWIW I have an entire RC51 setup (well almost) Forks, Triples, F/R wheels, sprocket and rear brake disk for sale. All thats needed is the front brake setup. Lighter wheels make it easier to transition left to right (less rotating mass), quicker acceleration (again less rotating mass to spin), ALOT better brakes on the front and 100x better front forks than the stock front end.
  7. The answer to your question is time. They run out of time to accelerate any more. It may take them 3.2 seconds to get to half track, but because of there speed it only takes another .8 of a second to travel the last half of the track. Damn.......just think of doing that!!! What a rush!
  8. Cycle gear has the shit for 20 bucks a can.
  9. Stick to 4 wheels Bling! Not saying I know everything bling but I damn sure know the XX will NOT do 200 mph without some serious $$ in the motor! I also have some common sense about what works and what doesn't on different bikes. Road racing a bike is something that you just dont understand bling. Gears 1-4 get you in and out of corners as quickly as possible, thus giving you the best lap time. Dropping or adding a tooth or 2 is all it takes to fine tune the gearing at tracks like Infineon, Laguna Seca, Willow Springs ect, true road racing courses. Top speed and drafting at "Daytona" is where that race is won or lost. BTW Never been there, I'm a west coast boy and I dont do circle tracks/ovals anymore, just road racing.
  10. Just a little over 2.25% for every 1000 feet of rise. So if they were around 5,000 feet they would be down about 12% on power compared to Sea Level. I wonder what a 12% increase in power equates to in MPH for those 2.
  11. READ the first post newbie! Again I assume you, are just like all of us blingbling. You have 2 eyes and 2 ears and only 1 mouth. Theres a reason..................... think about it!! Read and listen to the experienced riders on this board and quit blowing wind and you might, MIGHT learn a thing or 3!! 200 mph will NOT happen with a XX of any caliber less than a full blown drag bike!
  12. Whats the percentage of power loss due to elevation? It would be cool to add that back into Chris and Forrest numbers. Hey someone pass me some popcorn. Its fun watching knowitall newbies make fools of themselves. And you can believe everything on the internet too! And a stock RC51 will do 205 mph in Minysoda!.....lol
  13. Hey dippy, I never have said that a 1/2 mile is enough to hit 200 mph(give me a break!). I said with a 100 mph runon and 3/4 of a mile run, a factory built 200 rwhp race bike cant hit it. On paper anything is possible, in reality, your full of shit and you are truely clueless!! The question was what gear is needed to hit 200mph! Unless you spend some serious 5 figure $$ on the XX, it is not going to happen! End of story! I've been around a long time (30 yrs) riding, racing and have gone through the XX from front to back as many longtime owners have and have yet to see a comfirmed 200 mph run with a stock bike! Were talking about a CBR1100XX here. NOT a landspeed racer! OK little man, your showing that your truely clueless! Since when is a $250,000 factory built racing motorcycle NOT geared to top speed at a world famous high speed track? Have you any clue? Keep mouthing off with your big ol' 1 inch chickstrips there fast guy! Someday reality will set in. And if your ever in the neighborhood I'd be happy to show you how a part time biker kicks your ass on 2 wheels!
  14. Your full of shit! Theres no way 180rwhp will get you to 200 on a XX! Chris and Forrest have been there done that! Hell the AMA Superbikes are putting out 200+ rwhp and at Daytona there only hitting low to mid 190's and they have 3/4 mile to get there(which is more than enough space), 100+mph run at the banking and straight. You might be able to BS those that dont know, but we DO KNOW the truth about what can and can not be done with the XX!
  15. there fixed it............... LOL...................... sorry I should have cought that!!
  16. Stop working on your bike!! You SUCK as a mechanic!
  17. Did you spread your brake pads out when you installed the wheel? If not a pad might be dragging the disk on one side or the other.
  18. It is a sad, sad thing that not enough attention is paid to the critical muffler bearing... such non-chalant complacency has been the source of frustating mechanical heartache for untold generations... But you can make the difference... Send your donations (cash preferred) to the Mechanics Anonymous Muffler Bearing Organization (MAMBO) through your local FreePlumbers Lodge - they'll see to it that your contribution is used wisely... Don't wait another minute - don't let another forelorn muffler bearing slip into race failure oblivion. :icon_hand: A muffler bearing is a terrible thing to waste. :icon_nono: OMG.............................................ROFLMAO!
  19. You might want to check some other things before your done working on your bike Barry!!
  20. I mounted my reservoir on the left side at the bottom of the plastic, above the heel guard. See picture. I took a 1/2 round piece of aluminum tubing, flattened both ends, drilled a hole at each end, used the seat cowl bolt to secure one end, The loop on the passenger peg to secure the other with a ziptie. I cut 2 small slots in the cowl edge to run the hose clamps thru and used the rubbers that are give with the shock to mount it to the alumimun bar. I ran that setup for 5yrs.
