Seller did not include any phone number and did not give an email address in his post- I've been trying to reply to him since it appeared, but can't. Frustrating! Reason is I just got a new Dell, with Vista installed of course. I only have Hotmail, and can't reply to any Craiglist posts. "You cannot configure Windows Mail to use a Web-based (HTTP) e-mail account on a computer that is running Windows Vista" Any suggestions for help? Can somebody get his email address?

Can I use a 1998 upper fairing on my 2000 titanium? Or is this another case of '97/'98 carbureted XX parts not being the same/interchangeable with '99-'03 fuel injected parts? Specifically, is the early '97/'98 upper fairing different because of later ones having ram air intake ducts? I know the lower cowl "chin peice" or plastic V peice is definitely not interchangeable because of this difference...

Man, that XX took a major HARD hit on the left side! Is it just an illusion, or does the front end look slightly tucked in? I'd also be interested in the forks, if you can put them on v-blocks and a dial gauge to verify their condition either way. Eyeballing fork tubes (and wheels and rotors for that matter) for straightness won't cut it, at least for me.

Disagree. That bike was not stored outside in the weather- just look at it! I'd jump on it and ride it across country with those tires and brake hoses- no problem. Just check tire pressures and change brake/clutch fluids. Are you seriously worried about a 786 mile use o-ring chain as well? Your fears and worries are baseless in this case, amigo. Gorgeous bike, wish you good luck with the sale.

Are Pilot Road 2CT's worth the extra $50/pr over the regular Pilot Roads? How long do they last in comparison to the regular Roads? I get 6,000 miles from my Pilot Roads, I can't complain- I suspect don't need the extra 2 CT sticky sides here in the flatlands. Tires get flatspotted here! Any feedback from this season?

I have a Throttlemeister question that someone may be able to answer. I had a set for my early ('97) XX Helibars, and then installed the same set on my next bike's stock bars (2000 model). Throttlemeister doesn't work, won't hold against throttle tube. Do I need a new set- are mine specific to early Helibars and unusable on stock bars? Just using them as bar ends now, but of course I want them functional as a cruise control. Thanks for any helpful replies!
