  1. To be honest Josh, I do not know. I am the 3rd owner. The previous owner had it as a track bike and the original owner was a NESBA control rider who converted it, but I do not know when or how many miles were on the bike when it was converted.
  2. Nice bike for someone wanting to get into doing track days. Did not have to rider her at Road Atlanta this past weekend. The 750 rode well with only minor glitches. Fuel injected Clean Va title Stock motor - 14,xxx miles. No leaks, no smoke, runs fine. Penske double clicker shock. Traxxion Dynamics internals in forks. Setup for 180lb rider. Refreshed in September last year. Woodcraft rearsets and clipons. Full M4 exhaust PC3 USB with M4/stock air filter map GPR V1 damper NRC case cover. Suzuki shop manual 04 750 radial master cylinder. black wheels with stock rotor. Brand new Vesrah SJRL-17 pads. Unknown bodywork. It has been crashed and repaired. Bike was painted beginning of 08 Tires have 2 days at Barber - Dunlop 209GPAs 120/190 I would like to get $2700 PM me here or rdegore at yahoo dot com
  3. Just for the shock?????? I hope that included the cost of a new spring. I just had the forks with Penske internals and Penske shock from my 04 750 track bike refreshed at OhlinsUSA. Included an Ohlins spring all for $370. $16 to ship it to them and I went and picked everything up at the shop.
  4. Just for the shock??????
  5. Yes, race plastics: upper, lower, tail ( uses stock seat) and fender. Stock calipers and rotors Forgot it is pretty much fully safety wired, also. Passes NESBA tech with no problems.
  6. Whats the setup on the bike? And how much will you be looking for it if your friend doesnt pull the trigger? Like I said, I'm leaning big time towards an SV, but......I'm open to any possibilities. '01.......fuel injected, correct? Yes, FI. Clean Va title Stock motor - 14,xxx miles. No leaks, no smoke, runs fine. Penske double clicker shock. Traxxion Dynamics internals in forks. Setup for 180lb rider. Refreshed in I think August last year. Woodcraft rearsets and clipons. Full M4 exhaust PC3 USB with M4/stock air filter map GPR V1 damper Brand new Vesrah SJRL-17 pads. Unknown bodywork. It has been crashed and repaired. Bike was painted beginning of 08 If I do not have to ride it, tires have 2 days at Barber - Dunlop 209GPAs 120/190 I will be removing the Brembo MC and the Yoyodyne slipper clutch to put on the 750. Will be replaced with stock components. I would like to get $2700
  7. If you (or anyone) are interested and have not found something in the mean time. I have bought an 04 750, so my 01 GSXR-600 will be for sale in the near future. I have a friend locally that is interested so I am going to give him the 1st shot. I should know something after the 1st week of April. I will be shaking down the 750 Easter weekend at Road Atlanta and will be taking the 600 with me, in case of any glitches with the 750.
  8. Fair enough, and no, no rebound adjustment on these. And bump, somebody buy Jim's AKs here, you will likey.
  9. You asked if rebound can be adjusted, the answer is yes. No need to get snippy I was trying to understand what shortening a fork emulator cartridge or valving in your case would do for you.
  10. That answers one question. I'm curious why would you want them a 1/2" shorter? They replace the entire stock internal assemblies.
  11. Not true as far as I know. The one in my 3G S is the same as the one in my old Motorola Razr. and the data plan works??? No the data side will not work. The compatibility of the SIMM cards is to allow you to be able to transfer phone numbers, etc between phones and it would allow the use of the phone ( voice) in the event the IPhone had a problem.
  12. Not true as far as I know. The one in my 3G S is the same as the one in my old Motorola Razr.
  13. If you had a real Suzuki, it would have a clutch cable.
  14. Tim Not sure if this will help, but is seems to be a common. VFR Link

    Brake pads

Since there is no manufacturer's name cited , who knows. Do you want to trust your ass to a set of what are probably knock off pads? Get a set of EBC HH pads and call it a day.
  16. Well that was easy. Any commission coming my way?
  17. Get the Brembo, get the Brembo Seriously, a Brembo, some Motul fluid, and some Vesrah SRJL brake pads and you will be a demon on the brakes.
  18. Agreed, if they are the same price go with the more street-oriented tire. Interestingly I put a set of the Dunlop 209 GP-A AMA spec tires on this past weekend at Barber. They were a medium front and a medium-hard-medium rear. It was also a 190/55 rear, Dunlop does not make a 180 in this tire and have apparently engineered it to work fine on a 5.5 rim. They worked fine for me and I dropped a second of my personal best time there. They look as if they will hold up longer than the Pirellis, but they are about $40 more a set. Not sure if the longevity will make up for the difference in price. Fortunately I got them from the NESBA vendor at $120 net to me. Since I did over 15 days with NESBA last year, you get a coupon for a free set of tires ( Dunlop Qualifers...yuck) or $250 towards another Dunlop tire, so I went with the GP-As.
  19. Well I put one of my takeoff rears on my 750 right before SEXXT and really did not have any problems with grip. What concerns me the most would be in the wet. They have less grooves that a street tire so less water movement from under the tire.
  20. For the past couple of years, Pirelli Supercorsa Pros. Usually a supersoft front (blue) and a soft rear (green). I started going to a soft front at then end of last year, because they are cheaper. At any rate the DOT tire compounds are much softer than any street/track tire ( Power 2CT or Pirelli SC 3s)
  21. Joe, probably not real long on a bike as heavy as the XX. A friend that buys my takeoffs ( 3-4 track days) says he gets about a 1000, maybe 1500 miles out of those. He rides a ZX-9.
  22. I have thousands of miles transporting the XX, my 600 track bike and my 750. I have never had a issue with anything bending. The grips will move sometimes, but I cut some pieces of soft plastic tubing to go over the grips before putting on the CD, never had a grip issue after that.
  23. Can't afford the gun, how much for the tire in the background?
  24. WERA does not sponsor track days, although it is club racing, WERA is a for-profit business. Why would they want to underwrite insurance for track days? Yes, I know the AMA is more than a racing organization, but again why would they want to underwrite insurance for track days. The track day orgs will not underwrite insurance for people that ride with them, whether it is NESBA ( a non-profit club) or STT ( a for-profit business). Again why would businesses with no vested interest in track days do this when the entities that are directly involved in track day activities will not? How would this help their bottom line?
