  1. Hope you used good tupperware! :icon_nana: I imagine cheap crap gets brittle in the winter. I hear that running over padlocks will cupp tires? Don't hide your weed in the bottom if you're going to use clear, that's all I'm saying!
  2. Damn, somebody buy these! Great price! :icon_hump: (bumpity)
  3. I'll give you $130 Shipped to 37643 ground
  4. Use more chain lube. If that don't work, buy another chain.
  5. Damn you!!! Enjoy your ride .
  6. stock 6th Gen VFR clip on bars. Found someone selling these and some heli-bars. Are those VFR's what I'm looking for? What would be a fair offer for them? Someone tell me before I commit to spending money on these things. From what I have read, the VFRs fit/look better than heli's? Thanks.
  7. Well shit, where's that info? I just quoted shipping on those pipes. Did I just screw myself outta about $25?
  8. I was in the same boat as you, didn't want to spend a lot, and no one had a set here when I was looking. So someone gave me this advice, so I'm passing it along to you, cause it worked. Go here ->http://www.vfrdiscussion.com/forum/index.php? Post up that you're looking for a stocker set of bars, cause those guys get raised bars for theirs as well. I was able to pick up a set for $40-$50 I believe. They were brand new. Good luck!!! Jay Thanks Jay, now I am a member of that board too. I feel like a trader! No worries, I know where my padded room is. WTB has been posted.
  9. I just read an article that says stock pipes weigh 11.5 kilos linky
  10. I want some VFR Bars. Please, before I breakdown and spend a weeks paycheck, sell me yours and I'll have gas money left to use them.
  11. Can anyone tell me what the arm and torso length are on these? Unlike most, I am tiny around the waist and shoulders yet have long ass arms and torso. No, I don't want any extra fat either!I want to get 1 for me and 1 for My girl (both standard production patch seperate). I just want to make certain mine will be long enough. My girl has big tits too,(keeps my ears warm!) is the women's jacket cut for that? I would imagine measuring down your arm from the shoulder to cuff would tell me. and from collar seam to the bottom. Hate to be a pain in the ass, but I haven't ever spent more than $65 for a jacket in my life! Thanks for that logo topcop! My bike wears the logo, and my jacket will! Going to be a regular poser! Whatever happened to the .ORG idea? That one vetoed? Then it could be a gang jacket. ooooooohhhhh
  12. I like to keep mine idling smack at 1000rpm. Sometimes when I begin my ride while half-choked, it clunks when hitting first because of the 1500 high idle. +1 on holding the clutch for a moment before hitting first. In cars, we call it spin-down. It only makes sense that an extra moment w/the clutch in allows the gears to stop spinning. Kinda like when you try to hit reverse in a 5spd, but refuse to wait. there is an online manual here in the forums for downloading, if you aint got a manual yet.
  13. Where you guys buying your sprockets? I was thinking about going bigger so my revs stay lower at highway speed. That, and I would like a wee longer first and second. Yeah I said "wee longer"
  14. Hold on while I smoke a dube first! Hooplehead
  15. You bunch of WANGS! in my own defense. I DO have a set of D&D's and mid-pipes. I also have a stock windshield and a bird w/20k on her. So, I was not lying, I do actually have them. To clear up the confusion, I will sell the cans w/pipes. I was unaware that the stockers come with the pipe attached. So, I am asking $250 for the entire shaboozle plus shipping. I have edited the post to ease everyone's confusion. The pipes have 10k on them to the best of my knowledge.
  16. alrighty then, I'll take pictures of them. Till I get the chance, here's a linky to my page and the bike (before painted) w/the pipes on it. I really would rather trade, because I don't want to hassle with the sale, then the buying. I always end up partless for extended periods when I try shit like this. I have no clue what they are worth and what I'm looking at for replacement cost. I'll do some more investigating tonight. I do know that it's got twin pipes out the rear. Here's some pics. I have noticed light scratching, but no dents. There is a small scuff on the rhs can at the bottom, that you can see in the picture. The aluminum cleans up nice. I have seen these on e-gay for around $400. I would take a set of VFR bars and a touring windshield. Or, around $250. They are in average condition I would say. Not in a huge hurry, so keep you low-balls in your hands where they were.Btw, I will probably end up with some "mint" stockers and go the cheap carbon vinyl route. I just don't need the horsepower or the mean sound these D&D's have. D&D LINKY
  17. I have that same cover. It is a little thin, and it will rub the edges of the bike in high winds. I have been using it for a season now, and it seems to be holding up okay, just don't get any brake fluid on it, or the silver comes off. I will give it an A for fit, the thing fits and stays on really well. I don't believe it is waterproof, but it keeps rain from blowing into the cracks and crevices fairly well. For $20, it was well worth the investment. It keeps the bird shit and dust off, and i believe it keeps the ideas of theft down. I still use it in my garage to keep down dust. You will have to watch for condensation under it though. If you park the bike and it's cold out, it will create condensation, so you'll have to remove the cover to let the bird air out. my 2cents
  18. You are oversimplifying what you are trying to accomplish. The Birds suspension in stock form isn't so hot, and there is very little you can do without wrenching and parts replacement. Without knowing your riding style or weight, or road conditions, it would be a folly to recommend a set-up for you. Maxing the tires out doesn't give you the best grip, it just aids in keeping the tires from gettin too hot and slick. This may save you money. -Don't drag knees on the public street if you haven't just been through the same turn twice just before. I have managed to get both the front and rear tires to start a slide w/o being that far down. Take the bike to the track. As everyone else is saying, focus on gettin smooth turns at speed. Eventually you will drag a knee, just because your speed and ability will reach that point. Don't make your next post be one that says : I dragged a knee just before I dragged a bike, shoulder, helmet, tank, wrist, elbow, handlebars and eventually an ambulance dragged me then a wrecker dragged my bike. Just keep riding and reading. Bike set-up is an art form, and it takes a lot of research and trial/error to find the right combo for you. Worry about form and fun the knee's will come later.
  19. Me likee the shim, didn't notice a difference in my balls though. Still no problem with them dragging. whew, had me worried.
  20. :icon_loser: Like all WANGS, Joe uses honda approved butt-plugs.
  21. 1997 w/20k dash seems tight still on mine. You could always keep your hands off it and watch the road instead?!
  22. I paid $4000 for the cans, and they came with this black motorcycle attached. They don't bug me bad enough to go back to stock, i've decided. I was just fishing for a square trade on a different set of aftermarket. Thanks. Screw it, I need some bars and a windshield. I'll take stockers in great shape.
