  1. Plenty of them crashers in here
  2. I use CRC SP350 store and lube as lube. It cleans all dirt of and lubes the chain. But I have to lube more often. About every 500 KM or 300 miles And the chain lasts longer. About 45 000 km or 27 000 miles. I check the chain regularly, and adjust it one or twice a year. http://www.labsafety.com/search/CRC/21653/...&type=brand TECHNICAL DATA

Someone should see a shrink. They hear noises while driving a perfect bike. Hope you find the problem.
  6. +1 Bagster on the tank would fix it.
  7. Dooooo I see any purple there ??? :icon_gay: Nice bike...
  8. My 97 have about 30.000miles on the meter, and the CCT hasn't been changed. No noise or rattling (and no, I'm not deaf). And I can't remember anyone here complaining about it.
  9. I guess that "funny vibrating" sound is gone

    Battery Life

I changed my after 5 years, and is soon to be changed again on the -97 But I haven’t changed any bulbs yet.. 2 parts have broken down in 10 years. The RR and the petcock diaphragm.
  11. That's what I was concerned with, damaging the roof or gutters. So it is not good to leave it till spring? You already have a problem my friend. The ice behind the gutter is water flowing under and behind the gutter. As it freezes it expands and enlarges the openings. You better get rid of it. This was our house 2 winters ago. The ice gets very heavy before the spring.
  12. Good for you. Turbo i XX er galskap
  13. +1 I just ordered a new CCT, Hyperoptiks visor insert and some push pins and they were here in West Aus in 9 days +2 Ordered 10 pushpins, and it was in Norway 4 days after. Excellent service. :icon_thumbsup:
  14. I had the same problem, and found the solution on this page. http://www.cbr1100xx.org/forums/index.php?...&hl=petcock
  15. Nice bike :icon_thumbsup: My girl traded in her -92 ZX6 US imported when I bought the -05 XX She liked it allot. All that are left is an unused KN filter.
  16. I've never thought about weight when packing my bags. Fill em up to they almost doesn't close. I had once the Givi way over recommended speed limit. We were 4 bikes on a trip, and the ZX7 in front of me throttled up and I followed. Then the girl on the GSX750R passed me. My mind said no way, and it was full throttle on my 97. She had 250km/h on the meter when I passed here with my 3 givis on. The boxes stayed on, and the bike handled normal. No vibrations, but it wasn't the smartest thing to do. And now I even have an 70 lbs dog in a box mounted to the Giviset.
  17. If you have extra VFR handle bars, I would like a set.
  18. In the future do like me... Never lend out your bike ! I am the only one ever ridden my bike after picking it up from the dealer. My girl hasn’t even tried to sit on it. She has her own XX. I never let anyone sit on it when I'm not there, and if I spot anyone sitting or try to sit on it I go ballistic and curs an yell at top of my lungs that I'll rip their head off, or beat their living crap out of them. :icon_argue: :icon_slap: All of my 100 workmates don’t even dear to touch it after last time I caught one trying to mount it. At bike rallies in Norway the code is never too touch a bike before asking the owner. It is the safest place to park it.
  19. Check out this one http://www.cbr1100xx.org/forums/index.php?...249&hl=pair
  20. Ummm, that's from a carbureted bike, and his is FI. Now back to the original question... If you check your repair manual, there are pictures of the hose routings. You should have 2 hoses connected to the bottom of your tank (except for the fuel hoses). One is a tank vent (1/8" ID, IIRC), while the other is about 1/4" ID and is the fuel filler overflow. The overflow runs down inbetween the engine & swingarm, while the tank vent connects to the hoses you are describing. A picture says 1000 words, so take a look in the manual as to how they are supposed to be connected.
  21. The one from the engine block is to vacuum. The 2 small ones is to the vent and overflow. At my European model I have a black one going from the T to the one marked nothing. The one marked vent and nothing is connected. It is a breathe hose going to beneath the bike.
  22. Sorry for the hijack! but I have to ask. We are talking about to take a 2 week vacation in Dominican Republic. What should we do?, and what shouldn’t we do ? We'll be there in mid March next year.
  23. JUST A WARNING! If you tend to adjust it to tight, you'll eventually fuck up the bearing going into the engine. To change that one you'll have to open the engine, and it is a hell of a job.
