  1. I don't have any for sale, but what color are you looking for?
  2. We were driving home yesterday, though we spent most of Saturday & Sunday in the area. We even passed another XX on the Cherohala Sunday afternoon, the only one other than mine I saw all weekend. We took the shorter way back Sunday evening across 73/321 through Maryville, though, so we were probably practically right down the street! You just want the left one, correct (64596-MAT-D00ZA)? You mentioned two parts ... I'm not sure what other piece you're looking for. I don't see a 64596-MAT-D00ZB listed, nor can I picture what second part there is to the left inner cowl? As far as price goes, how does $20 shipped (PayPal, mailed check, whatever) sound? -Bob
  3. Also on ebay, I noticed it there. Looks nice! http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?nav=item.view&id=301295610103&alt=web
  4. Here ya go. I don't see any damage to either one. -Bob
  5. No structural problems that I noticed, but I'll take a closer look tonight just to be sure. I'll take a couple of photos as well. Yeah, the '02 is totaled ... I bought an Aussie blue '00 to replace it and have been occasionally scavenging parts off the '02. I'm not really planning to part the whole thing out. It just happened that I'd taken those pieces off and remarked to myself how they had survived unscathed (the upper cowl and windscreen are both broken off at the top). And, then I saw your post. So, coincidence. Once I am pretty sure I have everything I need off of it, I'll sell the bike for parts ... to Joe if he wants it. On a possibly related note, my wife & I will be staying in Pigeon Forge & riding around the Deals Gap / Cherohala area this weekend. -Bob
  6. Looks like both sides on my wrecked '02 survived unscathed. They're weathered, I guess, since they're 12 years old. ;-) If you are still looking, I can take some photos. I just took them off today to get the dash out. -Bob
  7. Per the docs, capacity is 400lbs and it gets 100mpg. Looks like both models have a 1L tank, so that's about a quart, right? About 25 miles on a tank, then. Talking to the wife about the Bigfoot... my oldest turns 14 next month and would flip out. Of course, he rides his YZ80 everywhere now, so not sure really needs another motorized mode of transport! ;-) http://www.goped.com/oldsite/html-products/liquimatic-info.shtml http://www.goped.com/products/bigfoot/ Yeah, what he said. ;-)
  8. I have a silver right lower and silver right mirror cover. Luckily for you, I totaled mine back in March on the left! The silver upper is all cracked on the left side, though. I'll PM some pics, neither part is perfect.
  9. I know it's a long shot, but what the hell. My left bag was destroyed in my accident a couple months back, but the right made it out mostly unscathed. I figure there's at least a little chance that the opposite happened to someone else! Color doesn't matter, nor do scratches, as I'll be having them both repainted. Anyone? Thanks in advance! -Bob
  10. Honestly, I don't know. I doubt it will be scrutinized too closely, but the insurance company is expecting that I'm replacing the aftermarket stuff with the stock stuff I replaced. Truth be told, if it didn't fall off, it would probably pass muster. But, I'd rather not test those particular limits. :-)
  11. Ha! Maybe I'm high, but I'm hoping to find a crappier seat at a lower price. ;-) On second thought, what with the painkillers and such, I'm definitely high. Ha!
  12. I'm asking now because I assume that once the estimate is done, I may not have a lot of time. The bike shop says they'll get the estimate done this week or next, so I'd say I have that long plus at least a few days. Given that it's now Thursday, I'd say next week looks a lot more likely. ;-) Thanks! -Bob
  13. I'm waiting for the estimate to come back on my wrecked 2002 XX, but based on my informal photos/parts lookup, it's totaled. There are some parts I'd like to recover off of it before the insurance company carts it off. I've been told by the insurance company that, in the event that it's totaled, I can replace any aftermarket parts I want to recover with stock parts before they cart it off. The main thing I'd like to recover, since it wasn't damaged and I intend to buy another XX, is my seat. Anyone have a stock seat you're looking to get rid of cheap? I don't even care what it looks like, as it's going with the bike to the junkyard (or wherever) ... I'm not going to deal with buying back a salvage, but I want my seat! I'm in SW Ohio, so if you're close, that's even better. -Bob
  14. Crap. Insurance didn't turn around fast enough. Mine's totaled, but it's gonna be a while yet before I have a check. :-(
  15. Sure, makes sense. The claims process has been started on mine, no idea how long that will take. If you haven't sold when it's done, and if I get a reasonably good offer from the insurance company, I will be in touch. I'm definitely interested, it's just a matter of timing on my end. I'd be looking to pay to have it shipped to me, I'd think. I didn't know if you were planning a trip to Green Bay (which is closer to me) and might trailer it that far, which is why I asked. Thanks!
  16. Are you serious about transporting to the Green Bay area?
  17. You absolutely may tactfully suggest that! I am only at the beginning of dealing with insurance companies, attorneys, health care providers, etc. But, as soon as I know whether my bike is totalled or not ... I may well be back. Thank you for the suggestion ... have you used uship before? Are they reputable? The instant quote price to ship to me was actually lower than I expected, so it's definitely a viable option.
  18. Dang it! A semi ran me (and my '02 silverbird) off the road the day before you posted this, and I'm sure it's totalled. I'm nowhere near thinking about riding again, but was hoping you were close enough to consider. Thanks, and best of luck. That is probably the sweetest XX I've ever seen.
  19. Thanks for all the suggestions! Turns out it was that the midpipes had turned, which forced the cans (on both sides) in toward the swingarm. There's more clearance on the right, so it wasn't rubbing, but both were tweaked inward. I suspect that it was a combination of doing a long round of 2-up riding recently and having a bunch of stuff in the beetle bags. After I got to looking at the pics I took of the bike from the rear, it is clear that the beetle bags were tweaked inward and rubbing on the fender. I've been thinking about taking them off anyway, so off they came and I twisted the midpipes back into place. All is well now, and she's thinner than ever! -Bob
