  1. Check the runout on the rotors. It maybe that the rotors are warped . Just throwing an idea out there. Also how many miles on the wheel bearings? Check them for a knotchy feel or excessive play. It maybe just enough to feel under the extra load of braking when the weight is transferred. Good luck. That sounds logical and the bike has 47,000 miles on it 20,000 plus of which I put on it so maybe its time to change the wheel bearings or at least check them. I will do that and post the results. I am Going to say with 47k on the wheel bearing it is time to change both front and back. They are cheap and not hard to do and can save you a real head ache in the Long run. I am pretty confident that doing the bearings will fix your hip hop... Let us know how it goes.

  3. This is exactly what I was Going to say. A few minor adjustments / mods can make a huge difference.
  4. Yes the iridium helps them last longer . I paid about $8 each for my Autolites at my local Napa auto parts store. IIRC They look slightly different as Joe stated but they work just nicely!!!! The CR9EH-9 is what I had in mine. The look just like any ole plug. Mine had at least 40k on them and didn't look bad. I saved them as spares. The Autolite are Extreme Sports plugs ( I don't remember the # off the top of my head.
  5. You have my number I believe just text me a pic.
  6. How bad is the upper cowl?? I am getting pretty good at repairing these things if you want to send it to me I will be happy to repair it then you only need to get it painted. If not how much do ya want for the damaged upper?
  7. My NGK plugs had over 40k on them and they still looked ok . You could see they were worn but not at all in bad shape. Replace them with Autolite plugs . We will see how they last.
  8. They are stubborn little bastards for sure.
  9. Thanks Joe I will check them before I do anything. The cross reference says they are correct but who knows. :icon_think: I will find out this weekend as I plan to do my service then. Other then thinking it it time to change them there ate no signs of need to be changed. Starts fine runs good my mileage is off a bit but that could just be all the short trips to work. I am going to have look at the carbs also and will sync them as well that may help a bit. Going to service the front forks also cause it feels like a pogo stick in the turns. It's either that or I just feel in love with the handling of my F4
  10. Hell I am just now considering changing my plugs and I have over 60k on the clock. I know the plugs have at least 40k on them cause I have never changed them since I have owned the bike. Figured it was time to put in some new ones. Any advice on which brand is best to use. I ordered a set of Autolite Iridium Extreme Sport plugs from my local part store. I know NGK is what the factory uses but these were able to be purchased in a set of 4 and not 10. :icon_shifty:
  11. Damn I am going to need a new one cause mine is starting to fall apart. Guess I'm a day late and a dollar short. If the sale falls through let me know.
  12. My buddy is selling his race bike. 2010 Yamaha R6 completely race ready . He raced it in 74 races and just had the motor rebuilt 4 races ago. He is asking $15000 with all the extra parts and plastics + tank he has. $13000 without the extras. This bike is sweet!
  13. That is exactly what I did before I knew John sold them. 3 washers worked out to ne 6mm and they have been in there now for 6 yrs .
  14. It fell out last year at PRIXXT 11 and we had to make a new pan out of aluminum. I helped him fill the gaping hole in his rear!!!!
  15. I found my rotors. They should be here on Monday. $105 shipped. Once they are on I can take the bike for a ride.
  16. As the title states I need rotors for my 2000 F4 . I started to balance the tire last night and noticed a slight wave to the rotors. After checking them with my dial indicator I noticed they had a lot of wave to them. About 60 thousands of wave on the left and slightly less on the right. If I can't find a cheap set of used one I have found a not so expensive set of new but that may cut into my food and beer budget for RacerXX. If anyone has a set please let me know how much ASAP so I can get this friggin thing done. I wanna ride!!!!! Thanks guys.
  17. New bikes are nice but they don't look as sexy as the Bird....lol we are planning a weekend at Joe's after the New Year so I will let you know.
  18. I will be dropping it in the mail as soon as I get home from work. The post office is not open at 5am them lazy bastards....... no wonder they are going broke.
  19. Eat several times a day and high protien and carb diet will help. lift weights and you will start to gain weight. Or you could just hit your mid to late 30's and the weight will just start piling on NO PROBLEM!!!!! when I got married 17 yrs ago I was pushing to hit 155lbs now that I am pushing 40 I am struggling to hold 195. :icon_wall: I can't seem to loose the damn weight 3-5lbs and then I put it right back on .... :icon_shifty:
  20. I have used this stuff called Q-Bond that I got from my local Napa parts store and the shit works great!!!! The glue is like crazy glue but the kit comes with 2 different powders 1 for plastic+1 for metal. It makes a strong bond. I have repaired all sorts of crap with it. And the latest was a mounting pin on the gauge cluster for my f4 it work like a champ!!!!
