  1. Redfury93 is a standup member. It turns out the delay was mostly on my end. Once RF got back online after being offline for a few days, I got a tracking number provided by cbrxxquad, (Thanks a million, Stan), and got online to find out the seat had been sitting on my end at the post office for a week and a half. Our route carrier didn't deliver a notice to pick up- the station manager has taken interest in finding out why, and why a second notice wasn't sent, but that's not RFs fault or problem. The seat was as advertsed, and was packaged well. Seeing as how the money transfer didn't happen until about the last week of april or the first week of may, the him to me turn around time was excellent. Thanks for the seat Jason.
  2. I don't think he has the time. Marko: We could always break it down and mail it to you piece by piece.
  3. Dibs on the turn signals. I'll call you over the weekend, Marko.
  4. And second dibs if Stan's guy at the place, with the thing, where it all happened that one time doesn't pan out.
  5. How many do we have, Al? Getting any closer? I'd sure like to order .
  6. [hijack]Nice to see you over here, Noreen. Did you get a bigger ride for this season?[/hijack] F4: I love the jacket. No chance it is a baggy 40? Like maybe stretch out to 42-44?
  7. Al, I'm 100% in for both jacket and pants. My only question, so I can determine patch on or off, is: is that black on red patch the final version? I'm not too impressed with that color arrangement to be honest, and can get an embroiderer here in SA to put something a little different on. If that's the final, I'll just get the patch in the box. 1 Jacket- XL 1 Pants- 38 Thanks for all the work, let me know where and when we can order and pay.
  8. You know, anytime I see that particular garage door background, I wonder about the ad. I've seen that garage door in everything from Jeff's frankenbird to Joel's redbird. They must like that style and manufacturer up north. Interesting. 90% positive feedback, but the negitives are all about a lousy buyer rather than seller. :icon_think:
  9. Has anyone else noticed that that garage door has appeared in an awful lot of XX ads? I remember a discussion a year or so ago about Joelmikel's red XX against a similar backdrop several times, and people wondering if it was the same bike. I don't suppose it means much, I just noticed it. I think it's a Brydman conspiracy. The same garage door is in his avi.
  10. That's deep rose. And that belly didn't just pooch out on it's own, either- took alot of work. Philip: I didn't use anything fancy. I don't even know exactly what backflow EMF means. If you put in a second system, like I did, you are isolating the really expensive bits anyway. I'll tear it down so you can see it at TeXXt if you want.
  11. You can mod the Yosh system to allow the centerstand, other than that I'd just stay with the Pitbull stands. Works well for me. I have both, centerstand and shopstands.
  12. Porter, you're soooooooo anal! WD40? Wipe? WOW! Seriously, he's got it exactly right. I used to use too much grease, and then Involute let me in on the fact you just attract more dust and crap if you do it that way. If the axle doesn't slide in fairly easily, something probably isn't lined up. If you're doing the front, make sure you've got all the weight off the front wheel when you slide it in. The job'll take about 3 times the time it did to take it off to adjust the chain and put the front fender back on.
  13. I understand it's harder to get over on 190's. No turn in. They'll fit, but may not be your best choice.
  14. Just say no to Dunlops. Our roads down here tear them up pretty quick. You have better conditions over in Houston, but when they go, they have a tendancy to give you vibration in the front end and all the problems that go with it. Wait 'til Cycle Gear has a Pirelli or Michelin sale. If you go in to the store on a regular basis, you'll see that they have "manager specials" that cover tires once or twice a month. They are always the best price around for mounting, too. My two cents. EDIT: BTW, Anson, you'd not believe how much the bike shops get down here. For ANYTHING. They'll charge you half an hour for spitting on the tank to rub out a little dust spot. $60 isn't that far off, it's about what I'd pay at Alamo Cycleplex if I was going to take it there to have it done.
  15. Friggin' digital guys. You've more than likely got a bad switch. If the light is on, but you can still get it to run while it's in gear, there isn't much else it could be. The switch will kill it, so if you're still running, you've shorted across the switch.
  16. If you're using it for the bike, Autozone also has one for $6.99 that works like a charm.
  17. Simple explanation, (the way I understand it), it loads the rear and lightens the front. Take the load of the front, it becomes more prone to shake.
  18. Perfect. Thanks Tim.
  19. When you put new forks on the 'bird, the manual doesn't say anything about lining them up except up and down. Does anyone know if there is an actual "alignment" process to go through? I lined them up as good as possible with a level and measurements, but I'd hate to have wobble later because the angle of one fork was slightly off left and right from the other. Help! Thanks.
  20. A guess? (Seeing as you're not getting any "I know, I know" answers) That pink wire doesn't put out much signal. If your splice or contact isn't JUST right, you won't get enough juice to trigger the other computer. I know this because I had a similar problem with the Pro-oiler. Found the "sweet spot" on the pink wire, and it's fine now. Hope that gives you a little help in the right direction.
  21. I'll see what I can do here. The bike shops here are closed Mondays, but I'll get down there mid week and see what they say. One of the shops I deal with is OK with stuff like this.
  22. Could not have put it any better. I would think going into the thirties might change your geometry some, too, but that's just a guess.
