  3. sounds like a lot out work. If you want it for two-up riding, why not just have two sets of spacers? I don't see myself pulling the caps on the road to go from sport to turing.

  5. Taking the xx to the new track it soulds like. I can't wait. March 1 is not to far away. I have never been to a track so the xx will stay at home for now, but it will find it's way.
  6. I installed new springs and spacers, but when I checked sag I am at 50mm. In my head, if I want 35mm adding 15mm will be to much. By the way this is a staight spring rate, but don't they still get progessive as they compress? Any input would be sweet.
  7. make sure your chain is not to tight. That could be the source of your noise.
  8. I thought the rear brake activated the center piston on right and left fronts. Please tell me more.

  11. sorry, I worded that wrong. I was thinking increase spacer lenght or turn the preload adjustment (if it has one) up to do the same thing.
  12. I think you missed the part about my small little mind :oops: If they cut the spring they would also have so have to add preload or it would be softer. So lets say they do, where it becomes stiffer is near full compression? If that is the case why are aftermarket springs longer? Aren't you looking for soft on the front end and stiff on the compressed end for street use?
  13. It sounds like you been in there enough to know changing the spacer lengh is the cake. You did it with the W.P. so why are you so worried about it? You are also not limit to kawi spring. Some one has listed a supplier of 1.1 and 1.2 for the bird in the last week. I think it was in the garage. Also have you tried less air gap? What is your rider sag set at?
  14. I sure would like some one to explain to me what changes with spring length. In my small little mind, the sorter spring get harder quicker when compressed. Pug not sure why you going from .9 to 1.15. Seams like a big jump

I see on the left side there are tabs to get the gut out of the bars. Do I need to able to get to them to get it out? Is the right side the same? Do I have to remove the thottle? Thanks for the help
  21. HEY I need a hot switch wire off the tail light for my relay. It looks like Green-Yellow, but not sure.
  22. update: -I'm going to smash the vista with a hammer :twisted: No did to talk about that anymore -What if I pull power strait from the battery? Do I need A fuse? Never mind. It would not turn off. I would have to add a powerstrip for one thing. Seams sort of silly. Please, I have the plastic off and am ready to put it back on. I don't want to end up pulling it again for on wire. Also it is a '99. I looked at the diag. of the insturment pannel. Doen't seam like a good idea. looks to be to many small ga. wire and nothing of any sive feed to them, but the ones that hook to the lights. Be better off hooking straight to the low beam.
  23. I have two questions: 1- what is the best power souce to tap into? I have HIDs so I was thinking that would be the best. If you don't forget to turn off the grips when it is off so your not competing with the ignighter, it should work good. On the other hand, what if I forget and end up with no lights in the middle of nowhere. 2- It's says to install with sticky tape (already on the element)and then apply a two part epoxy such as permatex Quick Set and install grips. How in the hell do get the grips off again? If you cut them off you could just as easily cut the element. What am I missing? I know I said 2 ?, but I am also putting on vista trottle lock. If read Dale did a good install directions for it, but I can not find it. Any one got a link?
