  1. I like the idea of the EK bolt on master clip... But the chain I got is an RK GB530GXW. Can you use different brand master links with chains of the same specs, or is this ill-advised?
  2. Available on eBay, too: Shockingly like Givi, eh?
  3. Of COURSE it's faster now... has nothing to do with the weight loss.... it's just BLACK now! Sooooooooo much faster than other colors!
  4. That's a pretty big area for cement given your colder climate. Asphalt would take the contracting and expanding better. I've been looking into it myself.
  5. Another winter project... My 97 XX is currently stock in the rear end suspension. I was thinking of picking up a used 900RR rear shock. 1. What years will fit the bird? 2. I'm 300lb fully geared up, plus the missus, and/or luggage. Is my best bet to send the 900RR shock out and have it serviced and and heavier spring put in? I found a Race Tech Gold Valve kit for short money... but I'm reluctant to delve into the innards of the shock. Better not to?
  6. I'd either a) find a used gauge set up on eBay, and swap it out to get it registered, or find a list member in San Diego to lend you their's for a few days!
  7. Took all of THREE minutes before I start getting offers... well, not exactly offers... dunno what to ask for them. I don't really need the left one, so I could offer them up as a package, or separately. I wish we had what SECOND you guys posted, since Redbird and Joe BOTH posted at 12:24... so I can't decide it that way.
  8. Well Merry Fucking XMAS to me!!! I won a pair of european switches on eBay a few weeks back. (Left side with flast-to-pass button, right side with lights on-off-and just parking lights on). It arrived, and in the box were the pair I won, PLUS a second right-side switch!!!! The two right switches are identical, except for the lenth of the wiring harnesses... one is about 24" long, the other is about 14", both have the same red connector on the end. Is there a reason they are different lengths? Off of different years? Right side... Different lengths... Left side
  9. I haven't adjusted anything yet, and I have no noises when I ride two-up.. I'm 300 lbs, and my wife is 135 lbs.
  10. But where... infront of the filler panel attachment points, or behind?
  11. http://www.motorcycledreamshop.com/hondafitment.html
  12. Nope... fits like a glove. I know this because I DID put it on backwards first. I then reversed it, and the gas filler cap is lined up perfectly in it. It sits on the tank perfectly, looks great, fits great all around, just the side clip problem.
  13. My Bagster arrived... didn't come with any instructions. Seems simple enough, but questions arose... I looped the front strap aroun the front mounting point of the tank.. that seemed to work fine. I then looped the rear strap down and around the rear bolt-down bracket on the tank. It's verrrry short. Only a half inch or so of strap is leftover. is this correct? The cover seems to fit properly. The big question... where do the side clips attach? In front of the fairing retaining hole, or to the rear of it? The way the clips are sewn onto the bag, the only way to make the straps straight it to attach it OVER the fairing hole. That's not going to work. If I put then in front of the hole, the clips have too much slack and don't work. If I stretch them to the rear of the hole,, the bottom-most part of the cover blocks the fairing mount holes. Ugh.
  14. Dunno if it's a good deal or not, but there's a guy selling new Airblade DBs on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CBR1100XX-C...585075125QQrdZ1 Ben
  15. Don't even get me started on those friggin' rubber bands...
  16. I love ya... but seriously.... :supergay: Besides... they don't have yer color!
  17. I made a spacer for the high beam from a rubber hose washer.. figured it was going to be used rarely, so the heat wasn't going to be as much as an issue. For the low beam I cut up the stock bulb holder as described by another member, so heat wouldn't affect it. When I was done, neither bulb wiggled around, and was in snuggley.
  18. Ditto... I have the 5300's, too
  19. Now that I've got my HID hi/lo's in for a week, I've noticed a sharp line of darkness between the top of the low beam and the bottom of the high beam when I'm riding. Anybody have this distinct dark area in their pattern, too?
  20. What are you running for a filter? How much of these metals can be expected to get filtered out by a high end filter?
  21. Wow. Reading. Your. post. is like. reading. a telegram.
