  1. ...he got a point there, and you will have $1 left over.
  2. I'm still having difficulty understanding how adjusting the balance shafts affects gear changes. Not disbelieving. just trying to work out how it would do anything in that area? :icon_think:
  3. Well, That makes me feel a little better anyway. Thanks.
  4. You pack of bastards! I just ordered a Motion Pro Jumbo chain tool ( and a chain aligner) for about a million dollars then I read this. :icon_snooty: $16 :icon_wall:
  5. I am sure they have an over temp shutdown system. I can't remember where I read it but I am sure of it.
  6. You're not going to get a pressure reading from the oil pan. Maybe the input flange of the oil cooler? Datel may have a guage that is suitable.
  7. What year bike is it? Honda changed the valving rate (after 99 I think). The earlier ones go better with 5 weight. I'd still go with 5 weight on the later ones but friends disagree. They recommend 7.5 or 10? (Idiots ) I went with the full replacement compression and rebound valves from racetech. I'd have to say that the new springs solved 80% of the problems by themselves. The valves did help but not as much as expected.
  8. How many miles did you have on the bike when you changed them?
  9. Groan! (I hate to admit, I actually laughed)
  10. Bargain! I hope you have a great time on it. It sure is fun to ride a small bike once in a while. Great work on getting it all fixed up too. Edit: Forgot to ask, How did you fix the dirty tank?
  11. Nothin' wrong with it. It still got bumps. Put it back on.
  12. Can't help with the comparisons because I haven't tried the other tyres but I'm very happy with the PR 2's. I have them front and rear and they do stick right over to where hard things start scraping. They also seem to be lasting very well. The original PR's seem to handle very slow. The PR 2's seem to handle like Powers (much faster side to side) but last like the original PR's. Love them!

    PRO-OILER

Correction factor: 72 Table : 13 Setting : 3 These settings seem to work for me. I've checked it a few times to see if it's still there. Works perfectly! Maybe a little rich. :icon_think: Best thing I've ever bought. Hope this helps.

    Chain Oilers

Same thing happened to mine. The fuse holder held the fuse's other end perfecty centered in the slight gap. PIA.
  16. Very happy with my Shinko's. I prefer the Pilot Powers but for the price difference? The Shinko's I have are the 003 front anf the 009 rear. I'd have them again. Very interested in the Pilot Road 2 or the Avon Storms.
  17. I believe there is another adjustment under the clutch basket cover. I havn't looked myself but that is what I have been told. It should adjust where the clutch takes up. It's late here, I chase it up tomorrow.

    Chain Oilers

Apparently Dale hasn’t forgotten. He’s just been very busy. It’s still coming, and I still want one. :icon_pray:
  19. I have a friend who is running them now, and he prefers the standard Powers. The profile is different and he finds them too sharp in steering. He has a 6mm shim on the rear shock so steering is already a little sharper than stock. They are softer than the powers on the edges and similar in the middle.

    Missed 2nd.

I've done it a number of times (about 4). I got an almighty bang when it went in. Still seems to be fine. I just don't do wheelstands anymore. Because of this I usually shortshift into second now rather than winding it out in first. It seems to happen when I change into second at high revs. ...and yes, I did positive changes. No damage at all from what I can tell after about 10,000 Kms, but I don't want it to happen again.
  21. Now there is something I wouldn't have thought of. What about a rubber bung down the end of the hole. The cover bolt would press on the screw enough to dampen the harmonic vibration and stop it unscrewing itself? Small piece of vacume hose or similar?
