Bike prices are funny things .I agree that mods do as much to detract interest as they do to bring interest. I like buying stock bikes used because then I know the owner hasn't screwed it up. Right now the economy sucks and if a buyer wants to wait a bit a deal will be out there. You are also going up against people out of work having to sell their bikes that might be dumping them cheap to make a quick sale. THere are also plenty of brand new ones that dealers are having trouble moving so you are also competing with those. From what I have been seeing I think you could get $7000.00 Maybe a bit more.

I've been watching prices on the XX for years like many members here. Condition matters and more pics and more detailed pics would be helpful in determining value. There is also often times differences in prices a bike will fetch based on area. Bikes in general seem to be higher priced north of the boarder. I'd try some on line book values sites and I'd also look through some of the for sale section bikes on forums that have sold. You can do the same with cycletrader and ebay.

Once they go Wing they never go back. Really. Might want to ask my wife about that. She rode with me on my wing and was just as bored out of her mind as I was. She loves my XX and she loved my 88 cbr1000F. Maybe shes one in a million. I know I feel that she is one in a zillion or gazillion or whatever gabillion is biggest.

I'm with you on that one. I had a goldwing. What a mistake that was. Now I'm not saying that they are a bad bike. Just not for me. In fact I never felt like I was on a bike when riding the wing. I'd rather be in a convertible than on a goldwing. About the same effect and you get more storage space can take more people with you and you can put the top up if it rains. A convertible is a much better motorcycle than a goldwing IMO. THis bird looks like one sweet ride. If I had an extra grand or two to add to my current fun slush fund I'd consider buying it myeslf even though I already have a pristine one currently. Hope it goes to someone local.

THere is a set of install instruction that says that they will work. I don't know personally as the VFR bars that I bought cme with the weights so I didn't have to remove the ones out of my stock bars. If you would like a copy of the install instructions you can do a search or let me know and I can PM them to you.

Condition and miles come into the mix. I've seen them go cheaper and I've seen them go Higher. There is a nice low mileage one for sale in Western Mich but it is priced higher than what you are talking about here.

I'm still trying to figure out if it is $8000 firm OBO? If its OBO I'll offer $800. Figure I could repait it or get me some new faring kit. See if I could sell that cartoon kiddie crap on ebay.

You're going to have to find someone that gets his rocks off on the punisher as much as you do. I don't understand what you mean by $8000 firm obo. Normally firm means that you will not consider anything less the the price listed.

Yes 02 and above. I have them on my bike. Easy to install. Looks stock on the bike. There's a set of install instructions on the other site. If you want the instructions and can't find them let me know. Good Luck.

The bagster bags attach to a tank cover with clips. Do you have the bagster tank cover?

There was one on craigslist in Florida with beetle bags a little while ago. There was also a turbo one with beetle bags for sale about a month or so ago. I'm not sure how much you know about the beetle bags on the bird. If you haven't seen them in person here are some of my thoughts. I don't have a set but have seen the up close. They look great on the bike. They are small and odd shaped. They bolt on. No quick release. you cannot fit a helmet in them. They are expensive compared to other options. You can try checking the for sale section here and of course craigslist and ebay. The XX is a great bike. Good luck.
