  1. No. He texted me to say FedEx kicked him off the flight he was deadheading on.
  2. And he's a no show. Says hes hired a shipper to pick it up next Saturday. I told him it's back for sale 6pm Saturday and no not bother contacting me after that.
  3. This is just one of the lines of drama in my life at the moment. Guy won the bike on Ebay and paid the $500 deposit back near Thanksgiving. He was supposed to come twice in December and canceled both times. Guy is a Fedex worker in Memphis - and claims during the holidays he is super busy and hectic - cant make it. So here we are in January - almost February. I tell him he can either come get it or I am keeping his deposit and relisting it Feb 1. So he messages me last week and says he is flying in Saturday (Jan 28th) and will pick it up and ride it home. Then he asks me where I want to meet - and I tell him my house. Johnson City, TN. that's what the Ebay ad says. Then he proceeds to start whining that he is deadheading into Knoxville and I need to meet him there. This means 3 hours round trip for me. I say no, he proceeds to whine, and I say fuck it and agree to drag it there. Then he tells me he needs be there at 6am... uh no. So I will drag it down to Knoxville tomorrow when the fuck I feel like getting up. Weather forecast is calling for cold and possible snow - I made sure dude knows this and brings warm gear. It got to be 7 hours or more home, on a bike he hasnt seen or ridden.. He says he'll be fine. I see this turning into a cluster fuck. Look for the bike to show back up for sale next week.
  4. There's a cure for that you know. Its called getthefuckondabike
  5. http://www.thewarmingstore.com/gerbing-gyde-calor-heated-puffer-jacket.html So this is an interesting piece of gear that I recently got my hands on. I bought it because my wife wanted a heated jacket for the side by side, but wasn't thrilled about being "wired up". This jacket features a 7v Lithium Battery pack. Think of a big pack of spearmint gum or a small flip phone and you'd kind of have the idea. The jacket itself is pretty well insulated on its own and is designed to be more of an outer garment - aimed more at the hiking and outdoor crowd rather than the motorcycle community - but fits in place of the inner liner on my BMW jacket and I think would work well there in cold weather. Style and comfort wise, you could easily use this as a daily walking around jacket. The reason I'm pointing this thing out is - its easy to wear, the battery is unobtrusive, and the heated elements are so fine you almost can't tell they are in the jacket. Power it up - it has buttons right on it, but there is a bluetooth app option for your phone - and its FUCKING WARM. On the "extreme" setting there is a warning not to wear against naked skin, and I believe it. The book says the battery will power it at extreme setting for two hours, or low for 8 hours. Unless you are shoveling sub-zero snow in northern Alaska, you won't need the extreme setting except for maybe a minute or two to warm up. Low will take a good edge off most reasonable cold - medium can get toasty after awhile in 20-25 degree weather walking around. I've been pretty impressed with the piece - especially given that this is the 7v version (there are 12v battery options I understand) This piece is available under several different names, including Gerbings, but Gyde/Raveean seem to be the true source. Pro-Tip. There is a good motorcycle dealer in Montgomeryville PA - Montgomeryville Cycle Center. They are getting ready to do a major remodel inside and are BLOWING stuff out to clear the showroom. Lots of accessories, apparel etc. Cheapest place I've seen this jacket is $249 on Revzilla. MCC has a fair stock of these left for $139 - thats why I pulled trigger on it. Parts managers name is Scott if anyone want to talk to him about it.
  6. So it sold on eBay - guy paid me $500 deposit but has been dragging feet on picking up or paying the balance. Will keep everyone updated if it doesn't work out.
  7. How can we put all the XX Rider Events dates on calendar? Easy way to keep it simple?
  8. If you wanna talk about it - though I have it on eBay and it may go.

  13. Similar condition one on EBay sold for $5000 after it was posted on the Rare Sportbikes For Sale FB feed. Love be to have that one - had one just like it years ago.
  14. Winner winner. PM me address. Get with RXX (I assume) to make the donation. Will ship first of the week.
  15. Given how this is going - auction will end 9am EST on Friday (since I'm working and traveling tomorrow.
  16. Left and right XX mirrors - complete. Clear lens and yellow bulbs. Some scratches on each housing but very servicable. These came from the collection of GATT In The Hat - a .org member who died on his Turbo XX last year. These are not from that bike. I do not know where he got them. Its a small thing, but I thought I would put them up here in exchange for a human fund donation in his memory. I will pay shipping up to $15.
  17. Its used, and it's a rider so I say no. For or someone who wants a very capable gentlemen sportbike on a budget it's perfect.
