  1. Stretch, I sent your email with pics to the guy who is looking for a BB. He tried to log into this site, but is having an issue being bounced off. If ADMINS can assist, his username is tigerpaw, with the obligatory "XX" placed in front as occurred when I first joined the site. Nice bike you have and good price. As I mentioned, he was interested in my bike but decided to keep looking. GLWS!

  4. I realize that this response is OBE (overcome by events), but I am surprised the Yoshi RS3 slip-ons are one piece units (midpipes and cans attached from factory). When I bought the TRCs (made for 1G zx14s) used, the midpipes came separate. I ended up using Delkavic midpipes made for BB and the pipes fit fine for the most part, angle wise. Being able to rotate the midpipes separately from the cans provided the range of motion to get it aligned although you still were constrained somewhat since the center stand stopper needed to be aligned with the stand in the raised position. Before I found the set of Delkavic midpipes, I called Yoshi to see if they sell the BB midpipes separately and they told me they do. In your pic, the left midpipe is in a position that looks like the center stand stopper is way off and needs to be turned clockwise so that the stopper is in a vertical position. If the midpipe was not permanently fitted to the can, you should be able to turn the midpipe so that the center stand stopper was vertical and aligned with the stand AND then rotate the can so it was symmetrical to the right can. Wonder why the cans and midpipes were not provided to you as separate units to allow more adjustability. Can you confirm with Yoshi if you are supposed to be able to rotate the midpipes and cans individually? Perhaps you were just sent a set that was inordinately tight and you were unable to twist it as intended.
  5. Coworker is selling his bike. He has only had it for a year and hardly rode it. It was his first bike and I think he was not into riding as much as he thought he would be. May have been a bucket list item that he has now satisfied. http://smd.craigslist.org/mcy/3328348603.html Edit: Bike sold last week.
  6. Beautiful bike, even if it is black...
  7. Kinda proud I had no idea what Tumi was... I looked it up and found out it is a NJ based company. I even grew up in that part of Jersey and actually worked in South Plainfield for a year. More confirmation of my straightness I do not know.
  8. Are the prices listed on the website firm or are there some cbr1100xx.org member prices? Interested in left side lower cowl. Thanks.
  9. I'm on the other side. I picked up a Large-size HJC last year and think I should have gone with a Medium instead. I measured my head at 23" and that is a tweener between medium and large. I did not know that the recommendation is to go with the smaller size if you are in between sizes. When I was wearing a balaclava (or whatever that thing is called) it seemed to be fine. Now with warm weather and shorter hair, Large feels a tad big.
  10. Is the patch on the jacket removable? Was it stitched on by hand or machine sewn?
  11. This one is stil for sale: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...085&afsrc=1 A little pricey, but it has some good add-ons (Corbin seat and beatle bags) and is basically brand new (3K miles). It's old (2002) but probably less miles than most 08 Busas for sale.
  12. For comparison purposes, I bought my SilverBird last November with $39K+ miles, all stock and some scrapes on left fairing and stator for $3,300. I think you are close to BB even with your mileage. Your parts ARE pricey: Corbin ($450); Yoshi ($700); PCIII ($300); VFR bars (~$200). All added up (not including the regular maintenance), looks to be around your asking price (trade off scrapes on mine vs extra mileage on yours). But I think you may want to factor in that your parts are used, so the $4,500 is probably a more likely sales price. Stay at $5K asking but let buyers know you have some wiggle room. The asking for mine was $3500 and we settled for only $200 less. GLWS of a BB in the fastest color.
  13. A few years ago, my wife got me a Calibre 8700 for a birthday present. http://www.worldofwatches.com/detail.asp?b...CFYeK4AodaB8NgA I wear it daily and it still looks great.
  14. Apparently you can't swing a dead cat without hitting an SR71.
  15. I agree with Hoss that your price is pretty fair. Of course, price is a subjective thing and it depends on the demand for that sort of bike in your area. I was looking at your bike a few months ago and was very tempted but could not see how I was going to get it here to Maryland. I ended up picking up the same bike (Silver 2002) but with more miles (39K) and some scraped body parts (fairing and stator). I was able to pick it up for $3300, but have since replaced the front tire and pads bringing the actual cost to around $3500. So for your low mileage bike, $4K seems very reasonable. If you were closer I would have definitely bought yours or better yet traded you my hobby car (DSM) for it.

  17. Trying to look at one in Severna Park as well. Are you near there?
  18. Also has the rear view mirror extensions I see. Does that make a big difference? I sat on a CBR at the local shop and did not really notice an impairment, but since i did not ride it, I could not notice the practical aspects of it. Do you recommend that mod? Thanks. Upate: Belay that last. Been looking at the for sale section and I guess that is not a modded mirror. Only saw a black one up close so i thought there was an additional extension on your beautiful red bike. Sorry.
