"You have a great day, Jerry."...................................................... ................... Thank's Good Buddy, I really am starting to feel your love.................

    horsepower!

Amazing that a clueless, airheaded female such as myself had no problem finding an affirmative, specific answer with barely any typing. Google is our friend. Honda-claimed, I believe was the actual question. That's Correct, I'm glad Somebody here can actually read! I thought there was a possibility Honda actually printed it somewhere over the years, that's a pretty easy straight forward question. It's not in my Shop or Owners Manual. Not on any Honda sites I have seen. A Hundred different dynos will give you a hundred different hp results. :icon_wall:

    16-17-18 ?

A bigger front sprocket is easier and more efficient for the chain to bend around. I'm sure some genious here has a parasitic equasion to back it up. :icon_shifty:

    horsepower!

Hey, you've got absolutely no way of knowing if he's queer. There's somethin special bout a man with hair all around his lips though! .............. From the overwhelming response to my question I'm gonna guess it's safe to assume the answer is NO!

    horsepower!

Dumbass! you can't just say yes like that without a follow up, WTF's wrong with you?

:icon_think: I have never seen "Honda" publish the Horsepower for the XX, has anyone else? :icon_pray:
  8. Daytona is the only trouble I have ever had, if it starts flashing don't be ashamed to shut it off and start pushing, the other bikes around you are fouling plugs and steaming too!.........
  9. What is a Horsepower?... :icon_think: My XX has 142............does that mean I can hook up to 141 horses, have a tug-a-war and be able to drag all them hooves backwards?
  10. Some people place too much value on a dyno result. What one machine says about a bike is not rellevant to what another machine says about a different bike across the country. Does someone think all dyno's say the same?................ The one I used said my 1st XX with stock pipes had 130 hp, the lowest rating I have ever seen, the next week with the exhaust system on the same dyno it jumped to 142, showed jump in torque and excellent fuel burn. One dyno, one bike, a rellevant exchange of information for my modification. ...............Same dyno shows other bikes in my area have 20+more hp than mine but they can't drive away from me as you would expect them to? :icon_hand:
  11. :icon_think: I ran 20-50 in my 1st XX thinking of florida heat, run recommended 10-40 in this XX and it's more responsive, coincidance? My new F-250 truck recommends 5-20, I put Mobil 1 30 in it and lost fuel mileage, put 2-20 back in got it back, coincidance?...............No doubt engines with alot of miles on them will benefit from a thicker oil in the heat, old school thought. Today's engines are much tighter tolerances than the stuff we grew up with.
  12. Try this fella, he's built the fastest XX's in the world, I'm sure there is something he could offer you. go fast here.
  13. [attachmentid=1751] I thought about the fat tire couple years ago or a minute or so, looked to me like it would rub the chain. Then I thought about the loss of power from rotating the extra weight of a fatter tire... :icon_think: If Mr. Honda thought an XX needed more tire he would made it happen! These Clowns around here take them Eyeabusers, chrome em up, extend the swing arms, fatten the tire, add all this goofy looking chopper style shit then get mad as hell when they can't catch me. None of them around here will even play anymore at bikenight when I pull up along side at a light. Like Chrome?...............
  14. I wanna bump my rev-limiter to 12000 rpm's, the present setting at 11500 is just like a magnet!
  15. [attachmentid=1735]I dunno, tried to upload from my computer, didn't work, used a photo site, too small, then it uploaded from my computer afterall. I'm so confused! how about this, a sattelite photo of .6 in Sebring................................click!
  16. Ventura Pack Rack with large soft luggage bag, with Corbin seat and back rest, here goe's,....click If this works I'm gonna jump up and down!.
  17. I had the same thing happen on my 1st XX, brought it to a shop for a tire and let them remove and reinstall the wheel from the bike, couple days later my brakes still didn't feel right, pulled the pads and bingo, same thing as described. I tried several times to assemble it wrong like that and couldn't.
  18. Another Venture Fan here, can't beat it, I got Sportrack with pack and Packrack with luggage.
  19. I have one and yes you will see that gain, I don't have a copy of my dyno sheets but I was there and saw the before and after runs. There aren't huge gains made with a PC on the XX thats because the fuel mapping is pretty damn good from the factory. There are big gains made on other models due to the poorer factory mapping. Thank you! How much horsepower gain did you see? Possible 1-3 like they told me?
  20. depending on what map or having a custom map is used. It improves throttle response and depending on your setup will help in more ways. Stock you won't see much gain, but if your running a full exhaust and all that happy shit you will see bigger improvments.. Why do you need a PC? thought you have a "ringer" that has 250HP and does 200mph in 3rd gear.. All I want to see is a before and after dyno chart after the installation, if the manufacturer won't supply me with one then I guess they have a good reason. If I manufactured something for an XX and advertised improved performance I would put it on paper to prove it, that would help sell the product don't you think? :icon_wall: They told me this week "They Don't Have A Dyno Chart For An XX".................so this makes me think................is this just another gadget for those with money to burn or are they too lazy to downshift?... If they showed me a dyno with a 3 - 5hp overall increase maybe I would buy one. I have plenty bottom end for my style of riding, there's no twisty's or hill's down here, long flat roads!!!!! They said it would not increase my top end any...................
  21. :icon_think: After a lengthly call to them this week inquiring about the pcIII version they finally admitted it would not do much if any help above 5000 rpm, a "Possible 1 - 3 HP GAIN". It's only gonna help in the low range, downshifting cures that doesn't it?
  22. Pardon my ignorance but what do you mean "Moly"? ...................... Honda offers two Synthetic Oil's, with Moly and without, Honda Engineers recommend "Without Moly" for vehicles with wet clutches. I'm gonna take Honda's advice for their products before listening to some self exclaimed professional idiot on this topic! WOW, that was CLOSE... I almost didn't use MOLY oil, because engineers are always wrong! I'll use MOLY oil now, because engineers don't know anything about how things actually go down in the field... they just "figure" stuff on their computers... right? :icon_wall: Mike you really should come up for air once in a while, when you get as old as I am your'e gonna wish you took alot better care of yourself............. :icon_pray:

    Floor Question

Sometimes a commercial duty Heat Gun will soften the adhesive, careful if it's a wooden floor. You can get a Mastic or Adhesive remover at the hardware store to get the glue up with after.
