  1. ...to know is already in another thread. I just had a beer for breakfast. I'm going to a family get-together on my wife's side of the family later today. I have to go in to work tomorrow to catch up from my trip. Sometimes it's not about the actual repair. My family wanted to ride the bikes to the event today. I have some fixing to have enough for everyone.
  2. Right on the base soil. it's not long term. We're planning on a new driveway once the kids finish college. If I intended it to last a long time there would have been a few inches of base and plant barrier,
  3. Watch out for that butterfly you keep stepping on....
  4. ....stress fatigue?
  5. n12 - 2 + k =
  6. First real ride. Circumnavigated Lake Superior. I'm very happy. I got a mild flat spot started in about 1,600 miles. The roads generally lent themselves to even wear I'd say. I got to lean in the corners a lot. Can't comment on rain performance. It was dry and 75 degrees most of the time. They make a cool deep thunking sound when they're kicking gravel out of road topping in construction zones BTW.
  7. butt it still works here. :)

  8. A friend needed to get rid of some old pavers. I borrowed a trailer and brought them home last fall. This week I went and got an inexpensive Ryobi skill saw that I could trash cutting custom shapes out of a few of the blocks. My middle son ran the roto-tiller to loosen up the soil a little for leveling and my wife marked off some kind of crop-circle thing for an outline. We used small wood stakes and string to line up the edges. We removed about 1-1/2" of soil and started laying pavers. I cut a lot f pavers and that little Ryobi kept going like a trooper. My son invited a few of his friends over to help. Afterward we had brats on the grill and pasta salad. It was a fun project, but I was beat. Junior was pretty proud of the results I think.
  9. Is this what they look like? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-CBR1100xx-Re...e62&vxp=mtr
  10. What, they knocked it down, broke it, picked it back up, and put it back n the stand? Bastards.
  11. Before and after getting the lug into the slot.
  12. Yes it would. He had a '92? Protege'. Great little car.
  13. I should know better than to come in here..... My 19 y.o. is in the market.
  14. Rear brake... ...I didn't get the rear caliper landed on that lug that comes off the swing arm. I'll have to sort that out tomorrow night.
  15. Thanks Cal, I may be interested in those tools. Figure out prices and let me know what you have please. I decided to hold off on installing the head bearings. I helped a buddy put in a pontoon lift and burned up a lot of weekend. I'll get to it sometime - maybe take it to the mechanic. The horn points towards the headlight for those who forget how it came off. ...aimed at the fender below. Thanks Caleb.

  17. Still running your CBX?

  18. Sure looks like it! I've got a CBX owner following my CB750 swingarm upgrade in the CB1100F forum. Itanium, is that you? Yes, that is a CBX. It is currently non-running. I am on 1100F.net. I don't think I posted in that thread though. The head bearing came in Wednesday afternoon. I haven't started that install yet.
  19. I bought my bike off the board here with quite a few extras for less than the amount you have asking - it may not be the low miles, it may be the actual years. Drop it a little and see if you get any nibbles?
  20. http://northernwi.craigslist.org/cto/3856470274.html ...gotta get it off my lawn.
  21. I ordered haed bearings with the understaning it would take 3~5 business days to make it here. June 2nd ~ June 11th isn't 3~5 business days. :icon_nono:
