  1. I don't know. It seems there are more opinions: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20130330121607AATWkr7 I looked at a few threads. It seems the general consensus was that concrete has a difficult tome sticking to concrete.
  2. Let me see.... http://indecorativeconcrete.com/?page_id=1268 As usual, there are caveats.
  3. So, a little over 10,000 per model year? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kawasaki_GPZ1100_B1/B2 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kawasaki-GPZ1100-GPZ-1100-ZX1100-New-Original-Fuel-Gas-Tank-NOS-1983-1984-/261311357237 Pull the ignition lock. Take it to a locksmith $40 for a new key. Make a spare right away. http://www.dot.wisconsin.gov/drivers/vehicles/personal/special/collecspec.htm How to apply, number 2: ...My wife just told me if I can talk the guy down to $400 I can drive three hours down and pick itup. 8O Dammit Jim!
  4. Pull the ignition lock out and take it to a locksmith. They'll make you a new one to fit. (I've done it on my CBX) In Wisconsin - it's over twenty years old - you get a hobbyist plate. ...and I got to pay a deductible on an appendectomy last night. ...glad wife and I have a job and insurance
  5. ...and I just bought a new set of tires for the F250.... http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/mcy/4145395244.html
  6. Watch the EBC stuff. I thought I was getting floating riveted on my Hurricane. They came back solid. At the time, I wasn't worried about it. After a while thinking about it - and putting miles on them - I wish I'd have raised a stink.
  7. Yes, it is back on the road. I took it down to the dealer. My mechanic threw tester on it and showed me how as the battery tops off, the amperage drops off - which indicates the regulator is working properly. I noticed that my regulator is fairly new also. So, hopefully, I'll get a few good years out of her before I need to open it up again.
  8. I did. Caleb texted me. I had blue laying around. ...from the other thread. I went past my mechanic. He threw a meter on it for free. It appears to be charging. He showed how the test goes. You start the bike and the amps drop off as the battery starts to top off. I took some pics. Is there a way to batch load?
  9. I'm starting to put it back in. I think this may have been the factory stator. There appears to be a stealth wire-tie below the tank that has a plug that pins into the frame. It looks like it's main purpose would be to keep wires out of the way while the bike was being assembled. That ook a little monkeying around. I had to take the tank loose. The new stator came with the rubber grommet/seals on the wires for where they poke through the stator cover. It looks like (the factory?) had some silicone placed in with the old grommets. I noticed it when I was cleaning off the old gasket. QUESTION: Do I need to put in some RTV sealant like was there?
  10. Damn. That bike is fifteen years old and almost broken in. My 2000 is analogue gauges.
  11. Maybe put NWS in the title? ...that would fix it.
  12. ...maybe try googling fiber reinforced 2 inch pour-over with release breaker. I was looking up epoxy additives. I saw you place control joints a little closer.
  13. Those other methods are going to cost some also. Mine is just starting to degrade too. For my own purposes, I have been thinking about breaking out the old concrete and pouring new. What is your time frame?
  14. These are neat. ...anyone else have one? https://www.nebotools.com/prod_details.php?id=268 The clip is magnetized too you can stick it to any steel surface. Wonder how it would work for an emergency headlight?
  15. Is "compuncted" a word? I went and picked it up today. They diagnosed a bad stator and the diodes were OK on a static test, but couldn't diagnose a dynamic test w/out having the new stator installed. It's a Rick's stator. I ordered an OEM gasket off flEabay..... I have an early regulator in a box out in the garage - spare. Can they be re-wired? Man, it was a fun ride home.
