Howdy. I just searched SCCA website +. Plenty of classes, more than when I was active. I had forgotten Vintage racing (SVRA). Vintage needs a log book and/or history on the vehicle. In SVRA if you lean into another's door, you will be called in to "talk". Vintage could have some rather expensive rides. There is a vintage motorcycle org. I had checked into that and it was a 1972 date of manufacture to be eligible....no racing history, just old.
what car were you considering to race? The web searches showed classes and requirements. Plenty of info.
I understand that Jack Baumgardner 's old GT5 road racers are for sale. I talked to a relative a few months back. I don't know if they've been sold. One is in Columbus, Ohio. Ron Nist bought it and was running it in Vintage. I may have an old address for him. Jack's other (newer and rear wheel drive with MG motor) went to Florida. I heard that it was on the market as well.

Smiling.....just saw an auction held yesterday...cruised the results. Saw a coupla my .45ACP's that I had sold with the same Auctioneer. So these two resurfaced and the Tasco scoped .45 brought $66.25 more than my auction brought. Plus the American Tactical....uh, made in the Philippines...😜 This be like stocks and bonds...playing the field? That is all.

Sent along a copy of ad to the slug bro-in-law. Now he says he wantz one. Just don't hold yer breath. Again, good luck on sale. It looks nice and priced right..so far red is faster than black (sorry Paul).

Home safe and sound, bike rode along nicely. Pa I-80, snore. Am I still in Pa? Wife called three times while I was enroute. No I'm still in PA. Plus side? Well managed to be +10 most of the day, and everyone passed me! Usual road trip I guess. Nascar needs to check in at NJ. Every pass executed with a bump draft (almost). Same deal in/on I-80 PA. Rush up to back and dart left or right...it was always NJ plate. Youse guys got a different driving school? Enjoyed run, maybe I was a long haul driver in another life. I keep catching the kids sitting on it in the garage. At least they ain't making motor noises and spitting all over it. Wife likes the mural, and it is her bike. I just watch the boys trying their majic on mom, to snag a ride. Ha. thanks, -
Thanks. Wasn't going to discard old, just wanted to replace. Damage at deep gouges and a crack..already drilled hole at end of crack. Mirror, yeah, maybe it's sand and touch-up, but thinking new. Then I would repair damaged stuff and when another track day or sumptin' came up...old refurbished placed back on. Tank in my case, dent popped paint. Will talk to the lil dent guy re: but still hosed on paint/patch. So far its: 1st prices re: Honda genuines, painted with decals...tank $1194.85, nose $586.65, left side/lower $483.93, left mirror (plastic surround only) $28, clutch cover @$115. 2nd, online, Kawloon, Hong Kong all the body plastic, entire bike, painted and decals at $499. Third stop (guy made body parts for Hondas/from another bd.) not enough demand for Bird parts, so he couldn't help. Body shop/one, not sure he could match paint. That'd be a big OH, OH for me right off. Appreciate help...will look into this bd. member Bob. Again, thank you. Any and all help, really. If nuthing else folks got a blow by blow account thus far.

I assume you already know this but if you end having to go thru retail channels, www.ronayers.com This be a ME TOO, 'cept son didn't do it. Encounter with trailer sides after tow straps break. I too am looking for pcs/partz, 2001 red plastic. Did find the Kowloon, Hong Kong, earlier. Thinkin' maybe closer to home, however. So looking for left fairing, left mirror plastic, and nose. Tank got a dent. First stop and Honda part price for tank was @$1200 (1194.95). Ouch!
