  4. Okay...was going off the title.....Recommended Oil Weight :icon_doh: I trust the 0W just fine. I don't trust the 20+/50 weights some insist on pouring in.

    Swingarms

They surface on ebay from time to time....other than that I can't think of anyone that carries them :icon_think:
  12. I guess I'm low tech I used a #2 pencil. Put the pencil in the bolt hole. Smeared some white-out on the eraser. Held the fairing up to the bike, pushed slightly, so the eraser hit the fairing foam. Pulled fairing off, and drilled a pilot hole where the white dot was. Then mounted fairing, used the proper hole saw with a pilot bit in the pilot hole, and it lined up perfect! No spaces.
  13. Is that coming out of a turbo or something? Seems like the angle is right for a turbo, straight line Bird only. If not on a turbo, it would have to make a pretty drastic bend to go straight up to the head. Just my thought....
  14. Yes, it has been done a lot. There are several threads on this topic.
  15. Sweet 8) Just glad to see you are back on the road homeboyee!!!
  16. Duane, sounds like you missed one of the vacuum lines on the petcock. It's easy to put one of the small ones on the wrong place, there's only one correct spot, I believe it's on the front of the petcock (towards the headlamps). Then there is another to the left if you are looking forward at it. I've experienced the same thing after taking the tank off, I'll get about a mile down the road and it dies. Wait a few minutes, fires right up and same thing. Turned out the lines were on wrong. There is a stub hanging down from the petcock dial that looks like a vacuum line...it's not. Only thing I can think of...... The oil in the intake is normal, as long as it's only a slight amount....like you need a paper towel to get it out, not just your fingers. I'll go rack my brain on this one....puzzling.
  17. mmmmmmmmmm, maple bars are good, no? 8)
  18. Agreed, balancing and air pressure need to be checked. When you remount, make sure you have the rear aligned properly, this can also cause some funky vibrations
