  1. We had the same problem here... Can you be more specific about connecting which wire to what? Do you have a picture maybe?
  2. Does anybody know if they fit? If they do I would like 50 pieces...... Can somebody get them and ship them to me?
  3. Pilot Powers are NOT dual compound. Pilot Power 2CT (Dual compound Technology) are. These are just released on the European market. I don't know about the USA....
  4. Honda still makes them, and still sells them. Just not in the USA/Canada..... Last year it was the top selling sports-tourer in it's class in Australia.....
  5. I am sure you will love it.........
  6. Hyperpro also makes a comples USD-fork for the Bird. Only on request, and a very special price.....
  7. The dat-code 3605 means week 36 of 2005. That was in September, so a fresh tire.... The prices are 50% lower than our lowest prices in Europe........ Normal retail price for this tire here is about $ 180,--
  8. What was the idea of Honda when they made it this way? They must have had a good reason for that.....
  9. Why don't you try Imageshack? http://www.imageshack.us/index.php
  10. Clear Alternatives sell a digital relay that will work. It costs $ 15,--
  11. I am interested, depending on the price......
  12. The Vista can be a bit tricky..... I've installed over 20 of them in the last 6 months. I can talk you through it if you want.... I just can't tell you how long it takes. The last BB I did was almost 2 hours to get it to work right. The one before that was finished in 20 minutes....... Don't ask why, I don't know.......
  13. I guess you coukd also make a small hole in the tape on the lowest point. This could allow the water to drain....
  14. Can they be mounted with the adjuster on the bottom side? How does the other side look?
  15. Yep, I just saw an email from him to that effect..... he overnighted them, they oughta be here Monday... Assuming no fitment issues, etc, the Pazzo Lever Group Buy starts early next week!!!!!!!!!! As always, I am interested in a group-buy for the Netherlands.....
  16. I use the Vista throttle-lock, and it works great! I leave it on most of the time when I am just riding along. Only when I want to speed up the pace I take it off..... It is very easy to adjust throttle with the lock still on, it just feels a bit heavier.... I have found myself doing some emergency braking with the lock still on, and just by grabbing the front brake fast you take back most throttle. However, you do need to adjust a little at first..... Mounting the thing is easy (20 mins of work), but finetuning it can be more work. I've mounted about 25 of them the last 6 months for my Dutch customers. Some were perfect in 20 mins (including installing), others needed over 2 hours, and still did not work perfectly. They needed to adjust again after a few hunderd miles. The throttlemeister I don't like. Locking and unlocking it is a bitch, and feels unnatural. I've used it for 2.500 miles on a holiday, and sold it afterwards to buy a Vista. The TM is a lot more beautifull however, but it will not fit on most aftermarket clip-ons.....
  17. Common mistake..... Lots of newbies try to move the whole thing, and some even break them.....
  18. +1! The difference is quite noticeable....
  19. I am not sure for the USA-bikes, but in Europe you need a PC 3 for a 2001 model..... Just check it before you buy......
  20. 1. If you need to adjust again, you must have made a mistake, or the chain is worn out. Please check the slack a few times, eveytime turning the rear wheel a bit. If there is a great difference in slack, you must have a bad spot in the chain. 2. If you have a bad spot, replace the chain. If you don't have a bad spot, but the tesioner marker is in th red zone, it will also be time for a new one. Some riders do 10.000 miles with a chain, others do 40.000 miles...
  21. I guess we really got a language barrier here.... This is not what I meant at all.... :? I believe almost any rider with benefit from spring upgrades. I just don't think most riders will benefit from adjusting the setup without any knowledge or help from an experienced mechanic. I meant to tell him that just installing the springs the way any manufacturer prescribes will be more than enough for most riders. Only if you want the best results you should be able to do some finer tuning.... For the other points, you are partly right. I don't adjust preload or sag on bikes. I just watched Hyperpro do it a few times. I am not a mechanic, nor do I pretend to be one.....
  22. You get about 1 Inch more view.... I don't know about the Alu-ones, but the plastic ones don't give more vibration.
  23. I disagree (and you should pay more attention when reading). I never said that rider weight doesn't make a difference. It does.... I did say that because of the construction of the spring the difference is a lot less than with non-progressive springs (and in this case the progressive springs sold out there are not progressive, but a double lineair spring). Static sag is not as important as they want you to believe. It's the dynamic movement you need to worry about, and this is dependant on cornering, speed and bumps. Yes, if you get the static sag all wrong, you have a problem.... But just try it on a Hyperpro bike. If you place a rider that is twice as heavy on the buddyseat, the difference is not that big. Even the heavy rider will not bottom out the springs when riding (only on very big speedbumps). I do agree with all of you that there is more to the story than I told, but just don't overdo it. We are not GP-riders, and most of us will never know what is possible and impossible with upgraded suspension. About Hyperpro allowing just anyone to sell their product without any knowledge of suspension whatsoever: are you kidding me? Or are you really trying to make a point I don't know ANYTHING about suspension? That is just about as stupid as Jessica Simpson...... Do you really think that? So everything I ever said about this subject was all false? I guess we can agree you are mistaken here.... The fact is that I don't know everything, I agree (and I never said so). But I do know enough to sell the product, and I know a lot more than most bikedealers.... Yes, in January when I start my business I will have another course in suspension. Don't worry.....
  24. I told him, and I mean only him, not to worry about the sag. He is lightweight, and the standard setup for these springs in this bike only differs 5 kilos. This makes hardly any difference in sag. If you dont believe me, just ad 5 liters of water to your buddyseat (that is exactly 5 kilos). See what this does to your sag......
  25. If you take a standard BB, and measure the distance between the front fender and the fairing, write this down. If you upgrade to Hyperpro and do the same measure, the gap (distance) will be greater. This is because the springs are longer..... Therefore you should lower the front to get to the same (or perhaps a little less) distance. Rider sag is how much the bike drops after you sit on the bike, compaired to not sitting on it. There is a value suggested for this, but without the papers I could not tell you this exactly. With a heavier rider you could worrie about this, but I don't think you need to...... With your size however, I would strongly suggest not raising the rear. This will make it harder for you to reach the ground when standing still.... The good thing is you can experiment a little. Just start by going step for step. Do write down all measurements or you could get lost. Goodluck!
