  1. What were they priced in the USA back in 2003? I think I can sell them (in crates) for about $11.500,-- (brandnew 2004-2005 models) + shipping to the USA.....
  2. And yes, the fitting is poorly....... That is why they make it so weak, it will be folded into the right place (or so they say).

  4. Here in Holland the Laser pipes are the best sold. The Lasers sound better, and look better. Two Brothers and Akra are too expensive here. Bos (from Germany) is also sold quite good.     frame plugs

    The problem is that you might even need 4 sizes. Honda has at least 2 moulds for the frames, and the size of one of the larger holes varies. I sell lots of frame-plugs, buth in steel (galvanised) and in black plastic. I always have the customer check if he has the upper larger holes in the same size, or that it differs by 2mm. There are at least 4 types of frameplugs I am aware of: 1. black plastic (press-in) 2. metal press-in type looks like chrome, but is shiny galvanised 3. Honda-scooter part. These look exactly like the fairing-screws, but are made out of plastic. Need to be glued in 4. special made plugs by several supliers. Look great, but very expensive. 90% of my customers go for the cheap black plastic. Some go for the metal press-in type.
  6. This price is great! I am a K&N and Power-Commander dealer in Holland, but your selling price is lower than my purchaseprice.... The selling price over here is roughly $ 470,-- We still can't buy the PC3 for 1999 and 2000 models for the later ones..... I am interested in switching my own PC2 for a PC3, so count me in.
  7. It's not so much the suspension that has changed in 2001, it's the battery-box (or whatever you call it in English) and the surroundings of the shock-top that has changed. The replacement shocks for the old models will no longer fit the later models (no room), so the changed the replacement shocks. I know of several shock-manufacturers who have different models for the years after 2001.

    Thats good to know they still support the older PC. Obviously what I meant is sometimes when a product like a PC2 is no longer made the maker will replace it with the newest incarnation that possibly being the PC3, seeing as how they are no longer selling them. And of course without saying you would need the maps that correspond to that particuliar model. it is just my luck " O lucky me " I called them about mine and they told me that they would not replace it, how did you get them to replace yours, do you know who you talked to? thanks I am a dealer in Holland. I shipped the PC's to the Dutch importer, and it was fine. I just got a remark about the sticker with serial-number which was no longer there..... Without it they will normally not repair or replace.....

    My PC2 was not working properly 4 months ago, and it was replaced for a new one. Last month same deal for one of my customers. No questions asked, just replaced. We only payed international shipping. Mine was 5 years old...... Great service! Replacing the PC2 for a PC3 when having a problem is not good service! You will need to do new Dyno-runs, because you can't copy the maps. These PC's operate differently. The PC2 changes the incoming signal into the EFI-computer, and the PC3 changes the outgoing signal.

  12. Yes, they are a little short. But if they were too long you would have a hell of a job mounting the set without any help of somebody else. If you mount them this was, you will close the small gap that is left by tightening the bolts. If you got the chance, make some extra spacers if you can, because you will probably lose some when installing/uninstalling the monorack. The disadvantage of the Monorack 2 is that you need to uninstall it everytime you need to tyake of the tail fairing-piece.

  14. Can you send me that map? I just received a set of Scorpions, and I would like to try them out for a while. I also have a set of Superpoles, but I just want to change sometimes. This is a pic of my bike during my last vacation in the Italian Dolomites.

    I had the same problem with my PC2 a year ago. It was free of charge replaced by Powercommander, I just payed for shipping.
  16. I tried using Internet maps myself, and I was not pleased with the result. I ended up on doing a Dynorun, and it was well worth the money and time. Even the set-up just like mine was totally wrong for me...... And about blocking the Pair-valves: before I read it here I never heard about it. I don't know anyone in Europe who did that, and I am still not exactly clear what the benefit is.
  17. It was installed by a mechanic (it was his before) who had already warned me about this. Either it was too much or too little oil. I tried all positions, but I couldn't get along with it. I sold it again....
  18. Hi Mike, just a tip for you: wait with buying this shock. The new 3-D shock will be available for the Blackbird next year. My bike will be the testbike for this shock early next year..... The advantage is that this one will be a modular shock with replacable parts. If you ever sell the BB, it's most likely you can take the shock with you and place it on your new bike, just replacing parts of the shock instead of a complete new shock. This will save you money..... And if you are not going for the new 3-D type, you might get an old 41 for a good price..... Good luck!
  19. I have mounted about 30 now for my customers. I do it a bit differently (not necessary better). I remove the smaller tab, and leave the larger one in place (just the opposite from Jaws). The bigger one can be modified to fit exacly between the cables, therefore giving no room left for freeplay here. Also the manual operation is much easier this way. It is in exactly the right place now to be operated with thumb and finger without twisting the wrist. On some bikes the Vista fits like a glove, no further work necessary. On other bikes you got a half-an-hour job ahead of you. With these bikes the rim on the gaslever is to close to the housing to make room for the Vista. I use a Dremel (electrical hand-millingmachine) to remove a circular edge on the side of the Vista that is touching the rim on the gaslever. It needs some practice to get it right.

  21. Hyperpro discontinued the steering-damper for the Blackbird. It needed drilling a hole in the fairing, and they made a decision (late 2005) to discontinue all steering-dampers for all bikes that needed changes to the bike that could not easily be reversed. You might find some old left-over stock somewhere, but they will not produce it anymore. They also told me that if your Blackbird needs one, you should first try and find out what the problem is, because it is not normal....

  24. This was in England, and he had over 400K on the bike. No major repairs, engine was never apart.... Mine now has nearly 85.000K on the bike, and still never had anything mechanical done to it (except the CCT). Never had to have the valves re-adjusted, original clutch-plates, third sprocket and chain.... It's just the electrics that give me the headache.... Recifiers, alternators, complete wiring loom etc.... (1999 model).

    Ohlins shock

    I'm waiting for the Hyperpro 3D to become available. I'll let you know when it does. My bike will be the first one to have it fitted and tested on. We expect it to be early 2007, and no sooner......
