  1. 5 or so years back I bought a cover from Tour King. It's a family run business out of Abilene Tx. They make the custom covers there. They don't show the CBR1100XX cover on their site anymore as they've stopped making them. But they have 4 left. If you call, mention Mike from Canada and he'll give you the cover for 35 bucks! Shipping is extremely reasonable too. They are retiring end of the year so pick up a couple (although mine has lasted 5 years). I've purchased 2, so I'll probably sell of 1 of them once I get it so if he sells out, let me know. They are waterproof and form fit around the mirrors and nose. It hasn't blown off yet but is repairable and treatable to regain the waterproof if it wears out (is just starting to now after 5+ years). Comes with a bag to put it all back into so it's reasonably easy to carry with you if you see rain in your future while you are at work, or don't like the sun bleaching your plastics and seat. Here is a pic of it on a Triumph: His name is Terry "Gunny" (he's an ex gunner) 2418 Arrowhead Drive Abilene, Tx 79606 1-800-572-8687 Well worth the call!
  2. Behind the pedel within the frame should be a spring connected to the pedel. That is then connected to a switch. The switch can be adjusted by spinning a plastic collar that should bring the spring closer or further away from the switch. This is how you can fine tune the rear brake. I'm doing this by memory so someone is welcome to correct.
  3. My front bearings disintegrated (at neXXt), there was no hoping before that for me. I'm voting on rotor as well.
  4. I got one. pm me and we'll figure things out.
  5. Ok, I'm getting the full addresses for the first two in line. I'll keep you updated Wario
  6. Seat available again! If you want it, send me your shipping info so I can get a UPS quote. If it's works for you, we'll get it out next Monday/Tuesday (as that's when Tina is in US and can direct ship).
  7. I have mint original seat. You want it, it's yours. Just pay shipping. Back available! First to offer...need shipping address so I can punch it into UPS to see what's it gonna cost to ship.
  8. K, red permatex and pull it from the gas tank side, but put it in through the front after dropping the radiator? Think that's the best route? I'm twitching here. I can't believe this is twice it's leaked from the same damn area. Only 115k miles too. Hopefully this is the worst thing I have to deal with.
  9. I'm leaking from my valve cover gasket again around #3 sparkplug. It's really hard getting the gasket on without those middle moving out of alignment. This candestroy the gasket. Any suggestions on keeping it in place?
  10. I need to replace the valve cover gasket. I have undone the bolt/screws that hold the carbs on. They are now loose. But they will not release. I'm almost lifting the bike throng to get these out. Am I doing something wrong? I have had these off before, but I can't remember.
  11. That is what does your ride height via triangulation with your rear shock.
  12. We sold Tina's 03 for 2k I beleive. It got a few bites and then all of a sudden a rush of people wanting it. If you have the space and it's in good condition it'll sell itself. Entry bikes that haven't been smashed up go like hotcakes...but just like hotcakes, only popular during certain periods it seems.
  13. Although we don't always pick up his stuff, I will give Dave credit he does give us shots and really good deals. Which doesn't quite seem right for his particular chosen religion
  14. And I'm on my phone so it's not overly easy... I've put in 3.5 liters and I ran it for half a minute. Unscrew and clean off dip stick and drop it back in. Pull it out and it's half way. This is on center stand. Am I good? I'm thinking yes, but I can't remember if I'm reading the stick right by not screwing it in and it being on center stand.
  15. You are probably adding unnecessary friction.
  16. Thanks for the info, it helped. Yah, I don't have to worry about the front fender on my trailer, the frontbox wall is lower than the fender tip.
  17. Making mounts for trailer and forgot to measure.
  18. Nice, I wish I had that kind of money available...
  19. Oh I dunno, it's a little quicker than he usually moves on...he usually sells things at a decent rate. There really should be a sit called e-Dave .
