  1. A friend of mine had his toast on his ST1100 during a x-canada run. Of course he had a few hundred thousand Km's on his bike.
  2. Can't you do a search on the VIN for a few bucks on the net somewhere?
  3. I put my order in over the web. Then to be sure, I called. The person on the phone says, Oh, there's only one left. Let me make sure it's not a mistake *waits...waits*...nope, we got one. You want it? I say sure....I get it in the mail. Then I get an email saying that they don't have any left. Wierd. Anyhow, apparently I got that last one... :] Maybe...
  4. I can't give you that info quite yet. I didn't do the dyno (normally I do) but didn't have time this time. I'll scan in the dyno runs when I get a chance. I'll also find out what clip position he used.
  5. K&N jet kit. Factory everything else. Before jet, it was around 128 bhp, after it was around 132bhp. But the important thing is that it smoothed out the whole thing. I really like it and it was worth the whole 35 bucks that I spent on it. If you get a chance for a jet kit, pick one up!

    Visual SEE?

Well, I'm only wrong in the part number, the part is where and what I said. I know, I went out to my bike and reconfirmed (had the cowl around my gauges off anyway. So we need to find the part number right? Are you replacing them or something? Or are you missing the second one?
  7. Proper HID requires a change in the reflector to properly utilize the HID. I don't know of a kit that will include the reflector. If you don't get a new reflector, don't bother.
  8. Remove it from your bike. After that, there is a bolt (or 2) by the hinge, undo that. Then undo that bottom one. It'll undo, its screwed into an aluminum structure-thingy. That should do it. Whatch for miscellanious small collars, etc.
  9. Come to think of it, I replaced my back first too and I'm not heavy on the rear. I'm a big supporter of the 70/30 bias rule. Wierd. Mind you, when you use the front break, it puts a bit on the back anyway, and when you help by depressing the pedal, it probably changes that bias without you really realizing it.

Look under "frame" If it's the right one, the number might be: 19106-mat-000 if it's the left then: 19108-mat-000 They are called Heat gaurds -a and -b Looks right. I might be wrong...can't hold me responsible...just praise me for my help...hehe :]
  11. Wish I had time to do that. If I did that everytime I drove my car somewhere I would be screwed. Since I put my car away for the summer and basically use the bike...I'm screwed :]

Yah, its the damn that goes under the front top cowl on either side just over your return from the oil cooler up front. You'll find a spot for it to sit on either side. Use a flashlight so you can find the spot it snuggles into. Lemme know if you have problems. You need to remove your trim from around your gauges to view it. Picture sitting on the bike with your hands on the bars...it would be just under or ahead of your hands.

    rear shock

Does the 900RR 93-95 shock work directly? Is there any modifications required? What about spring, is it strong enough, etc, etc, etc. Going to have to replace mine in a year or so, so I want to keep my options open.
