  1. I am not really sure..... I was expecting 2 seperate shipments, and I got 1. I just don't remember if it was yours..... I'll have to check... Was yours with the new downloaded software on CD-R? In that case I got it.... Yeah, what I sent was in one box with the new software on CD-R. Good deal.
  2. Yeah, I did that. I guess it's up to the Mods to delete it. :?: Helvet, I just got an email for that too. Have you gotten the PCIII yet?
  3. I didn't see it, doesn't mean it ain't there but is there a way to delete threads that you have started? Particularly "for sale" threads. I sold my stuff, thanks Helvet and Disolut, and see no need for the thread to be there anymore.

    VFR Bars,,,

Too late, already done went and bought muh shoes.

    VFR Bars,,,

Right,,,, 2002 they are. I made sure of that. I looked at a couple of parts fiches, fishes, fishys, fishies?,,,,,,, the difference is a helluva lot. Soooo, with that said, I reckon I'd better go to Wally World and buy some shoes. I AM from Georgia ya know. :fingerflip:

    VFR Bars,,,

I just won them off Ebay. 53 bucks. :headbang: Any "watch-outs" or tips I need to know about installing them? I've read that brake lines and cables need to be a bit longer,,,, that filing down the tab on the brake reservoir will work at repositioning the stock brake lines. Anything else besides "just doin' it"? TIA
  7. My thinkin', FWIW, ya sorta gotta look at this whole thing with a bit of discretion. I've run velocity stacks for years on previous bikes with no problems, but I didn't take 'em on a dirt road either. I wouldn't do that here in central Florida though. Obviously there is a lotta sand down here,,, you get on some of the roads in south Polk, Hardee and several other countys, you're gonna meet up with a phosphate truck and he's gonna cover you in sand. I think most filters will clean out something as big as sand, especially if they're maintained correctly with oil. When I "do" get ready to replace my stock filter, I'll buy a K&N or BMC race if it's available. Use yer noggin boyz.
  8. I "did" order a BMC for my '03 but was sent a filter for the carbureted bike. Sent it back and there seems to not be a BMC for the fuel injected XX's. At least I haven't been able to find one. er
  9. Jason,, pics came through in fine fashion on the board. Thanks dude! That's gotta slow the exhaust down. I might be wishin' a "pipe dream" here (sorry for the bad pun, I thought it was funny but then I "do" gotta good buzz goin' on), but I wonder if one of the major manufacturers would be interested in building a 4 - 2 full exhaust for the XX. I really want to retain the dual exhaust in a chrome/sst or Ti set up and would be willing to pay. It's just gotta be feasible for someone to build it.
  10. Yeah, please. PM comin' to ya.
  11. Okay, go ahead and flame me,,, I really do have a NOMEX suit in my work van. Ordered a PC3 last week and should be in here in the next few days. No hurry. One thing I've been thinking though,,, I really like the dual exhaust set-up and want to keep it that way. I know just adding slip-ons isn't really gonna do a whole lot to the let the "bird" breathe with the addition of the PC3 and B&C filter. I know a 4 - 1 will get better scavenging of the exhaust gases but I ain't gonna be racin' the damn thing. Bi-laterally symetrical,, hehehe,,, how ya like that big word? Any of y'all know of an after-market 4 - 2 full system set-up? Have any of y'all cut up the OEM head pipe to see if there are baffles and/or the like before it gets to the mufflers? An inquiring minds wants to know.
  12. I talked to HondaJohn yesterday and he said he had tried raising the bars but wasn't quite enough for him. He went to the VFR bars and seems to like them. I'm gonna try a few of the suggestions here before a ride next weekend. Thanks for all the tips!
  13. Couple of good points here. I understand raising the bars up "to" the centerline of the pinch bolt. Yep, that'd get me at least another 3/8 to 1/2". What I don't understand is raising the forks up a couple of mm's. Yeah, I know that's gonna decrease the rake and trail but "put me up and back"? Decreasing rake and trail is gonna put me (body) down and forward. I've had 2 900 RR's,,, I understand twitchy, LOLOLOL. I like it though. Back to the question though,,,, no matter where I put the forks in the triple clamps, I basically still have the same reach to the handle bars. I know we're talkin' "ergos vs handling" here. Not too worried about the handling right now albeit the XX is a bit slow to turn in,,, well, as compared to my RR's and ZRX. I reckon I'm gettin' to be an ole phart these days but I wanna get the ergos set for "me" first. I've had all of 'em,,, I always go back to Honda. After the ergos come the suspension. I've already got that mapped out,, no-brainer to me. Sorta new to this board, but I'm gonna try to attach a couple of pics I took this afternoon of where the clip-ons are after I moved them. Thanks for your info folks. :worship: Not really,,,,,, :fingers:  http://web.tampabay.rr.com/bwhite54/images/XXbars1.jpg http://web.tampabay.rr.com/bwhite54/images/XXbars2.jpg
  14. Not on my '03 you can't. The top of the bars are at even with the top of the stanchion tube, not the tube cap. There was/is about 1/8" between the the top of the tube and where the wire circlip was. I'm at the very tip-top of the tube itself and it raised the bars 1/4". I sure would liked to have had 3/4" but it just ain't there bro. Differences in year models maybe? I've just had mine since May this year and am still learning the year model diffs. Got back from my errands and it is noticeable difference. Only about 30 miles traveled so I reckon the jury is still out until I can git a 500 mile day. What I "did" ride I liked.
  15. Now that's pretty trick! I came on here today looking for what folks were running for tires, oops, tyres. and ran across this thread. It's amazing what a 1/4 inch will do. I pulled mine back too as far as they would go without shoving my hands in the tank,,,, felt good just sitting there in the shop. Going out to do some errands now, gonna see how it feels "on da road". If it feels okay, then I'll Lock-Tite 'er down.
