  1. New price is $7,000. I'm really surprized that this bike isn't in some else's garage by now.
  2. Yep, it's still for sale. If you want, you can PM me you phone number and I'll give you a call to talk about it.
  3. OK. Price reduced to $7500. The line forms to the left.
  4. I hope you are like me. I can resist anything but temptation. PM me with a reasonable offer and it could be yours.
  5. That's an offer alright. Any better ones out there?
  6. Somebody make me an offer and buy this thing. I need room in my garage.
  7. Thanks for the nice comments guys. The bike is nearly perfect and I'm sure it will run almost forever, but it's time for it to have a new owner.
  8. I've decided it's time to sell my low mileage 2003 Valkyrie. As of today, it has 15,284 miles, but it sits more than it rolls due to my time restraints. I am the second owner of this fine machine. As most of you know, the Valkyrie is a 6-cylinder power cruiser that is incredibly smooth and powerful. The 2003 model was the last year of this great motorcycle just like the XX. I think Honda must have lost their collective minds in 2003. I've changed the brake fluid, the clutch fluid, the anti-freeze (Honda Pre-Mix), diferential oil (Mobil-1), oil and filter (Honda filter and Mobil-1), plugs, replaced the front brake pads, checked and adjusted the valves and synchronized the carbs. Most of this was just peace of mind stuff. As you can see in the pictures, the bike has the great sounding Cobra 6 into 6 pipes. I installed a set of Mustang seats with a driver's back rest and a set of Tsukayu hard bags. I also have a windshield that's included in the sale. I have the stock exhausts and seats too. Was $8500 cash. Now $7,000.
  9. I don't know the answer, but I'll bet someone on this site will. Benzworld
  10. I was lucky enough to buy some of Howie's "reject" parts once upon a time. Needless to say, they were like brand new. Anyone should feel confident to buy this bike and get probably the best XX in the world.
  11. I used to have a Super Brace on my 2000XX. I thought it helped the front track a bit better.
  12. I forgot to ask about this the other day. I wish I had looked at it when I was out there.
  13. I used to like my Marsee magnetic tank bag (when my motorcycle had a steel tank ).
  14. I used red Permatex to hold mine in place.
  15. I just hate it when someone beats me with the correct answer.
  16. DynoJet may have changed the PC's lately, but I think you need a PC2 for your 2000XX. That was the only one that would work on my 2000XX a few years ago.
  17. I may have one in the shop attic. I'll look tomorrow.
  18. Here's another vote for the EK ZZZ. I had one on my XX and the only time I adjusted it was during tire changes. I will buy EK again when I need a new chain. I like the spacer to prevent over crimping too.
  19. Glad to help. There are some relative bargains out there on 1098's right now. Many have a lot of accessories and mods already installed. I really love mine and it's breathtakingly fast. One caveat though, owning a Duc can make you want to spend lots of money on mods and bling. PM me if you have any specific questions.
  20. Do you have much experience on a 1098? Many of the magazine writers and most inexperienced Duc riders parrot the tired old line that "Ducatis are torture racks". I don't find mine to be so. I guess it's all in how you ride.
  21. My 1098 is more comfortable than you would think. In fact, I would rate it up there with my old XX. I added Gilles rearsets to get a bit more leg room and a Sargent seat, but those are the only confort mods I've made. You might want to try one before you write it off.
