  1. Yes. Pics please. Don't need a second Bird, but if I did it would be a 2001 Red Bird.
  2. We are all good here. Mags look great and I'm hoping to put them to use come Sunday provided the weather cooperates. Thank you Sir!!
  3. I'm in for five as well if they are still available. I will send a PM for the rest of the details. Thanks!!
  4. Tempting. I've hung onto my 3GS forever now and I know I should upgrade, but don't want to commit to the damn contract. With the phone being "unlocked", I am assuming that I could just change the card inside and be good to go? I am a AT&T subscriber.
  5. I forwarded it to a guy I know as well. He has talked about getting another Bird for awhile now, but that has been it. The price is tempting, even if it is just to have some replacement spares in the garage for any possible mishaps or other cosmetic upgrades.
  6. I will take the Smuggler for that price. Just let me know how you would like to be paid.
  7. So what other bikes are up for sale? An '04 Monster S4R, an '04 RSV Factory with alllll sorts of stuff on it, a '95 916, and a '00.5 Mille Impressive stable you've got there. I wish I was closer to you to have a look at your XX. I myself was not in the market for a second XX, but yours is very tempting.
  8. I did myself find that kinda strange as well, but that is how they are listed?? I thought the headers were changed due to the fuel injection or the way things were mounted in front of the cylinder head, IE, oil cooler on the carbed birds or the air ducts on the FI models, but the bolt on section for the slip-ons I believe to be the same.
  9. Just looking through some part schematics, and they show that all year's of the CBR1100XX have the same front header. Part number 18150-MAT-A01. I have listed a online parts supplier schematic here. Check around for some other sources just to be sure, but from the way it looks, you should not have any issues with FI slip ons.
  10. Yeah....X2!!! Very nice. Forwarding your ad here to a couple of people that have shown interest in mine.
  11. Looking to see if anybody out there has a set of these that are not being used or has thought about selling their set. I've priced a new set, but I figure that I would check here first. I remember a set of these that were for sale last year, but I was late in finding out about them. The old saying goes...you snooze you lose. I'm looking for my 2003 Bird. I think there was a difference between the 97-98's and the 99-2003's, because of the tailight, but I could be wrong. At any rate thanks in advance. Joe
  12. Interested in screen and MRA foil. Sending PM.
  13. You all bring up some excellent points. Some i thought about and others i would of found out the hard way. Cleaning them was one of my primary concerns. The fact that you can't just slap it all back together is another. I saw a couple of bikes at the dragstrip and then thought about my own application. At the same time, I'm not changing my oil that frequently to warrant it either. Would be nice to see the contents of what may or may not be going on in the engine. Always nice to ask here and get some other opinions on the subject. Thanks again guys!!
  14. Does anybody have on their XX or anybike for that matter, a non disposable stainless steel oil filter on their bike? I'm looking into one and would like to hear the pros or cons of them. I'm thinking it would be a wise investment as I do have a couple of other bikes that the filter would fit as well. Thanks in advance.
  15. Speaking of plastics, mine have seen better days. Does anybody have a idea on what a new OEM set would run? Not planning on selling the Bird and Ive get plenty of room to store them.
  16. I'll take the next spot inline if available.
  17. If your in no need to sell it right away, I would definately hold out. Warmer weather is coming and people will be getting possible tax returns, etc. I would hold out for another 30 days. Just my .02 cents. Good luck.
  18. Sorry. Joe beat you to it by a couple of hours. But my name is Joe too... I know how your referencing and that's cool. Like the saying goes, "Early Bird, Gets the Worm". Thanks for the update.
  19. I'll take the sprocket cover. Paypal? Just let me know.
  20. Tell me about it. If I would buy it, I wouldn't know what to do with it. Set it up in the mancave and stare at it or ride it. Awesome details and parts that you will only probably see this one time. Good luck with the sale. Beautiful machine.
  21. After this past weekend, I was actually wondering about my Bird or possibly me. The later I feel is true right now. Last weekend I rode out to Mid-Ohio for the AMA road races. From my place, we are looking at just under 700 miles on the day. On the return trip home, my hand kept going to sleep on me. When I latched on the ThrottleMeisters, I would be okay, no numbness or tingling. If I would get back manually on the throttle the sensations would return. At first I thought it might be the bike. Tires out of balance, something came loose causing the vibrations, ect. However, I wasn't feeling the sensations in both hands. I was only feeling this in my right/throttle hand. I checked things out anyway, and came up empty on my original thoughts. My problem after all of this is that I still had tingling in my right hand 3 days later. To say the least, I got a doctors appointment scheduled for next week, but I am starting to think that it is Carpal Tunnel or some early stage of it. Not a fun thing to deal with, but if you get in on it early enough, there is no surgery needed.
  22. The bar kit would be nice, but I am figuring that you would also have to have new clutch and brake lines to make the setup work correctly. Ad those costs in and your over the cost of a whole new setup.
