John from Avon told me that on a BB you should get around 8000 miles. Their guy, the Iron butt dude got 10,500 miles from his last set. I THINK, I THINK the depth is around 6mm at new. IF ANYONE ELSE GETS TIRES REPLACED, LET US KNOW. I got mine replaced this past Sat. morning, 7/19. Sunday went for a ride and did 165 miles. It still has them little nubs on the tire. Does that mean it's a harder compound?? I rermember after around 100 miles ride on my other rear, they were gone. And i did ride pretty hard, no chicken strip left on the left side and about 1/4 inch on the right.

HOW DO THE mez4'S STICK WHEN PUSHED PRETTY HARD IN CORNERING AND UNDER BRAKING AT DIFFERENT LEAN ANGLES????????

I did that once. I changed my oil on a Sunday, then drove to work on monday without tightening the oil drain bolt all the way. I went for a ride during lunch time and noticed a small oil patch where i was parked. So, when i shut the bike off, i wait a little bit and look at the bottom of my bike and see that there was oil around the drain plug. Thank God that it didn't fall out while i was riding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On the Penske shock i bought, they put a 1300lb. spring on for my weight and riding style. That would come out to an 18.32 kg/mm spring.

Demon, you can do it, but the spokes will take more work and maybe some air tools if you want them like a mirror. Just so you know it's going to be a bitch to keep them shiny. You'll probably have to take the rotors off each time to shine them up properly.

I'm getting a new one also. I'll look at my bike tonight and get the number. I'm just wondering if they put the wrong rubber in the wrong mold???

MY REAR AVON 46 AT 3400 MILES IS SHOT. I CALLED AVON AND THEY ARE REPLACING IT FREE. HE TOLD ME THAT I SHOULD PROBABLY GET AT LEAST 8000 MILES OUT OF THE REAR. HE SAID THEIR IRON BUTT RIDER, THAT GUY IN THE 45/46 ADD ON THE ST4 DUCK, GOT 10,500 MILES OUT OF HIS TIRES.

Just called, i'm getting a new rear tire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I spoke with John, he said that they are seeing around 10,500 from the rear tires!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's what the guy from the add had on his Duck ST4.

Pete, just did a ride up past you on Wed, the 2nd. Ended up doing 300 miles that day.
