Especially since the new thing, at least here, is GFCI breakers. We also require AFCI on some of them, but I can't remember where exactly from memory. I have a few of both, 2006 house. Combo G/AFCI used to be crazy expensive, wonder if they are cheap now.

Dishwashers are great parts cleaners, but DO NOT use the dishwashing detergent with aluminum!!!

It just hit me that absolute garbage vehicles which should be scrapped are selling for $10k if they have a Jeep logo.

My main battery charger was purchased in the 80s and I've never thought it needed replacing.

No difference between parked and driving. YUGE difference between you driving it and a cop driving it, he's very unlikely to be hassled after showing his credentials.
One of the videos I've been watching while waiting for server shit to happen was a cop DUI. Unlike the other hours of hard core interrogations and using all the tricks to make the suspect talk, in that case the arresting officer quietly told him that he should not talk, and how to respond.

pretty sure it was BFG, that were bad.
BFG ATs, not the most recent but previous versions, were the most fucked up tires I've seen. I thought the road force machine was going to blow up, they stopped it and just replaced two.

Displaying a fictitious plate is a class 2 misdemeanor in AZ, driving or not, even private property. Likely in most/all other states. Just not having a plate is a standard civil infraction.
-
While I was doing the migration and bored, I watched some court and cop videos. Two were about fake plates, and the cops said the same thing.

Just talked to someone who tried to go the generic route, thinking it was a normal light. He didn't fry the bike, but did fry the controller for his aftermarket LED lights and possibly the tail light flasher he wanted to install. AND...we learned that regen is triggered by the weird output of the tail light. LOL. So when the flasher would activate, regen would flick on/off with the flash.

I believe all of these took effect in February.
ALL receps in kitchens AND other dedicated food/drink prep areas with a sink must have GFCI. This used to apply to counter top outlets only, so things like the under-counter dishwasher and disposal, or a wall mount microwave, were not covered. Now it applies to all of them, even 240v outlets. There's an exception for an outlet in a dedicated space for appliances, and the cords are locked in place. Not sure what that means. But around here, the dishwashers and disposals usually share an outlet under the sink which is not "dedicated" space.
You are allowed to put an outlet within 6 feet of a sink, the limit was removed.
The minimum branch circuit size is no longer 15a. In recognition of low-consumption LED lighting, you can have 10a lighting, exhaust fan, and fireplace circuits. This is for hardwired only, no outlets.
Kitchen islands are no longer required to have outlets. So a new build could have an island with no power. Something to look for on new homes.
EV chargers over 120v/16a must have a dedicated circuit. EVs that can back-feed power are specifically allowed with proper isolation from the grid.

Chlormequat was detected in 80% of people tested in three geographical regions of the U.S. between 2017 and 2023, according to the study by the Environmental Working Group (EWG) and published in the Journal of Exposure Science and Environmental Epidemiology.
Researchers also found that "the concentrations detected in 2023 samples were significantly higher than previous years' samples."

I only eat 1/4 cup per day, the wife eats them also. Always buy the slow cook and after short look at Walmart.com, most organics are quick cook and cost a good bit more. But I will look around more.
I've never paid attention before, but will now. Compare notes when you look.

So this doesn't seem like many here would worry about reproductive issues.
That doesn't mean what you think it means. It's an effect on reproductive systems, with implications beyond actually reproducing.
On a scale of PANIC versus ignoring it, this goes into, if you eat a lot, look for the organics, because why not.

I like overnight oats... cold, with oat milk, chia, and a bit of vanilla flavor and cinnamon.
Much appreciate this post Carlos... now I will look for all natural and organic.
Thanks again!
Fucking love that, and hot oats, and savory oats. Like curry. But it's just super unhealthy for me in particular. Goddammit now I want some.

This is a pretty good study showing a danger, it's probably not expensive to go organic. As far as "good for you," there is very strong evidence correlating them with reduced cholesterol issues, BP issues, and better digestion. Unfortunately they don't work for me at all. It spikes my blood sugar worse than actual sugar, and then I'm starving an hour later and crashing. But a friend of mine has them nearly every morning and feels full for hours.

Learned about this today. Non-organic oats have a chemical called chlormequat. New studies are linking it to a lot of problems even in "acceptable" concentrations by government standards.
Here is my AI conversation about it: https://www.perplexity.ai/search/What-are-the-5yb4_ImfRSeTgLv4I4bGwg#1 -
So 93.4% of people polled like being fucked in the ass you say?

There's some clown on CL asking $4k for one, I assume he'll have it forever unless someone just as dumb doesn't look at new prices.
Or someone gets the OTD price from Ride Now and realizes that $4k is cheap.
