  1. That's only an estimate, I sent him towards Jeff or just doing it himself.  And battery at Walmart.  The plate light how-to video is under two minutes, and twice as long as the job actually takes.  Fuckers.

  2. The police would never violate the law.  It's right there, law *enforcement."  They'd have to arrest themselves, and resist, and taze themselves, but then how would they escalate and murder themselves?  Can't happen.  Comply or die indeed.

Have you ever measured your blood glucose after an apple with peanut butter?

Yeah, I'm on a monitor 24/7.  Well sometimes I skip a few days when it runs out, they work for 10 days, 12 hours, and 27 minutes.  Apples have low impact.  I don't really like the PB on apple thing.  Dave's and PB has no impact (or meaning, little change, not a problem).  Even a cosmic crisp with higher sugar is not bad.

Nah, he's not.  "Primary offense" is definitely a thing.

How Are Primary and Second Violations Different?

Before we get into the specifics of which traffic offenses are primary and which are secondary, let's take a look at why the distinction matters.

In short, a primary—but not a secondary—violation gives police authority to stop a vehicle.

The purpose of the primary and secondary labels relates to an officer's authority to investigate each type of violation. In order for a police officer to lawfully initiate a traffic stop of a moving vehicle, the officer generally must have reasonable suspicion to believe the driver has violated the law in some way.

However, not all violations give police authority to stop a vehicle. For violations that are categorized as primary offenses, the officer can initiate a traffic stop based solely on that violation. But a secondary offense, on the other hand, doesn't authorize police to stop a vehicle. Basically, some states have decided that secondary offenses are so minor that they don't warrant the temporary detention that results from a traffic stop.

Secondary violations can only be investigated and charged if the driver was already stopped for a separate primary traffic violation. For example, an officer can issue a seatbelt ticket (which is usually a secondary violation) to a driver stopped for unlawful speeding (typically, a primary violation). But the officer can't stop a driver and issue a seatbelt citation if the driver committed no other traffic violations that are categorized as a primary offense.

    Virginia law:

No law-enforcement officer shall stop a motor vehicle for a violation of this subsection. No evidence discovered or obtained as the result of a stop in violation of this subsection, including evidence discovered or obtained with the operator's consent, shall be admissible in any trial, hearing, or other proceeding.

  5. Some states do have weird primary offense laws.  For a long time, in AZ, you supposedly couldn't be stopped for not wearing a seat belt.  You could be cited for it if stopped for another reason.  Luckily, police would never make up a reason to stop you on some other pretext.

License plate lights are a huge thing for AZ, don't know why, and I think you can face the death penalty at roadside for it.  Serious business.

I don’t get why Carlos is being an asshole about how the manufacturer made this choice as if it’s a bad idea.

Nothing asshole about it.  Facts are what they are, and don't care about your feelings.  They are either stupid or lying.  Well, could be both.  The hook has a far larger surface area than the little D-rings on those straps.  Physics 101.

Can't you tell by looking?  The D-rings are sewn into the soft strap and that's what connects to the latching hook.

Yeah, exactly.  Can you tell by looking?  Metal contacts fabric, same thing.  That's my point.

So every time I use the choke I have to use two hands.  One to hold the pod, the other for the lever.  Not that nice.

Well, carbs suck, LOL!  The pods for my XR came with these little strips of rubber U-channel to prevent slippage, which works great.  But I never had a slipping problem with other bikes, and I remove nearly all of the locating pins unless they are slotted.  Rubber tape maybe?

I know that they weren't "forward", more like probably straight out to the side.

I'm guessing that the CD is good for diagonal forward, not for straight in either direction.  It was very comfortable and relaxing on the U-haul, and I'm paranoid about towing.

  9. I've got thousands of miles on fabric over metal.  Tell me, what exactly is the interface from the rings to the fabric?  The same metal on fabric interface?  Maybe there's a thin layer of adamantium coated with unobtanium in there?  The rings are much smaller than the hooks and have far less surface area.  Those people are either retarded or just good salesmen, anyone believing them needs to go back to physics 101.

  10. I forgot another reason for morning food, and that's taking supplements.  In a cruel twist of fate, I have a nausea/heartburn reaction to capsules.  Not the stuff, the capsule itself.  Which is fun when I tried getting anti-nausea capsules and they increased the nausea.  Fuck!!

Anyway, this is solved with food.  I'm doing several digestive aids like magnesium, fiber, and plants every morning for the tirzepatide side effects.  And some vitamins and minerals.

  11. I can certainly see an issue if the loops are forward, not to the sides.  Conversely, I got the CD for the Zero because the points were too far to the side for me to use my previous solution.  I bought it after the dealer tried multiple ways to do it without the CD.

Mike, you really should get the Baxley for your trailer.  $225, super solid and so useful in the garage too.

  12. If I owned a trailer, I'd put my Baxley chock in it for sure.  But I rent.  And it's been discussed in another thread, that thing is fucking awesome at home.  I park in it daily, saves a lot of space, and for my garage it's best to get on/off from the wrong side of the bike.  Just works.  So solid.  For working/washing I take it out into the driveway.

I'll forever disagree with you on Canyon Dancers, or until I fuck up something with them.  I suspect your control box issue was with attachment point locations on your particular trailer.

Full throttle.  If you crash you won't even need to ice the wounds, they showed up to the roadrash party pre-chilled.

Same question, same answer, for summer in Phoenix.  Will you die from slow roasting or char-frying?  If you crash, the pavement cauterizes the wounds.

  14. Thanks, that veggie one looks great.  I've chosen to limit my eggs to 2-4 a week, based on several of those studies I've quoted before.  But yeah, that looks great for a couple days a week.

And I'm retarded.  I also completely forgot Dave's Killer Bread and natural peanut butter.  I don't know what happens in my brain, I can create a new habit easily, do it for a few weeks, and then completely forget it as if it never happened.  Dave's got pushed to the back of the fridge and.....lost.  WTF man.

The Orgain gave me a blood sugar spike and left me hungry quickly.  I'll try it again to be sure it wasn't just that day.

Last word: Throw your leg over something more current.  You'll be shocked.  After getting my Aprilia Tuono and KTM Super Duke, the Blackbird was unrideable.

Well yeah, and a stock bird had shit suspension to start with, also, even for its time.  I'd love to have some time side by side with a stock-ish one and the Zero next to each other, because I think certain characteristics are so much the same.  Could be nostalgia talking.  I had always described the XX's power delivery as electric.  My only recent XX rides have been highly modded ones with mods that were not my thing.
