  1. Looks unused, but I don't remember. Found it in a box of moto stuff in the attic. Yours for the cost of Priority Mail shipping, $5. Send via Paypal to caalvarez at me.com. Post here if you're sending payment so others know it's sold.
  2. The shock fits in a medium flat-rate box, so that's $12 for shipping. The screen doesn't fit in any box I have, I'll have to buy one. Shipping may be size-dependent.
  3. Whatever parts you want, send the payment to: caalvarez at me.com And I'll ship to your Paypal address. If you want another adress, put a note with it. Fuck, that's right. And yeah, I was doing some spring cleaning yesterday and found this box of random parts in a far corner of the attic. Sorry, and I'm assuming you don't need it any more... Looks like shipping on the seat is $39 due to size. Still looking for a box for the screen.
  4. Sold, I'll pack it and give you a Canada rate later today.
  5. Sure. Good idea. And I recommend also making a 2" version. caalvarez at me.com for Paypal.
  6. Ok, the cowl is spoken for also. I am heading out with the kid to fly his RC plane and my heli right now, but will update all with shipping when I get back today. The shock will fit all years, BUT, the spring is lighter than it's supposed to be for most riders. So people who have done the change either change the spring, or are very light. It's been a very long time since I did this, so you might search the garage or ask about it for more details.
  7. Fuck, if I hadn't just bought a bike, I'd be all over that. I have a feeling that ten years from now the XX is going to be on my "I never shoulda sold that bike" list.
  8. Move the mirrors out 1" for a better view. Solid aluminum with a cutout for the wires. Includes extended bolts. $25 shipped.
  9. I'm embarassed to say publicly...I don't remember, and don't remember the differences.
  10. I never installed it. In black, with the mounting clips and glue still in the bag. $60 shipped.
  11. All of the parts for a water pump cover replacement: 11350-mat-000 water pump cover, black 94301-08140 dowel (2) 94301-08100 dowel (2) 16173-MAT-000 pump clamp 35211-443-760 pump clamp 90005-ghb-710 pump bolt (2) 96001-0608007 pump bolt 90014-952-000 pump bolt $25 for everything shipped. All are brand new in sealed Honda bags/box. The buyer also gets a bag of miscellaneous fasteners and plastic body clips. Red right mirror cover, red, decent but not perfect paint, no cracks or deep scratches into the plastic. $6 shipped. Factory seat. Free, pay the shipping, I don't know how much it will be yet. I have to find a pretty big box. It's in excellent condition. Factory windshield. Same deal as the seat. Condition is good, no deep scratches, but not perfect. 88111-mat-000 mirror bracket, sealed in bag, $15 shipped. Nelson-Rigg "bikini" cover. Covers just the top half of the bike, so it's easier to deal with and smaller. In perfect condition. The storage bag has no damage but is very sun-faded. $15 shipped CBR900 shock, has 7k on it. Free for shipping cost, which just guessing on weight will probably be around $25.
  12. I have a lot of frequent flyer miles but I don't fly any more. This should be good for a round trip anywhere in the US with at least two weeks advance booking. If you're interested, give me your dates and from/to so I can confirm that it's available. I'll take payment via Paypal, and send you an online ticketing confirmation.
  13. Damn, already went to Lowe's. Where do you find those things, I didn't see any obvious alternatives to the wax rings (granted I wasn't looking for it either).
  14. We're putting in wood (composite) flooring and I'm wondering the best way to deal with the toilet. It has spacers under it already, but they are about 1/8" thinner than the flooring and underlayment combo. Will a normal wax ring deal with that? Should I use two rings? Any tips on toilet removal and replacement (I've never done one before)?
  15. My local dealer has factory refurb Unisaws for $800 with a full original Delta warranty. That seems like a good deal. This includes the cast iron wings but nothing more (no fence). Then I have to make a fence decision. The Biesemeyer is obviously highly regarded, but expensive ($269). They also sell the SawStop system which is like the Biesemeyer but actually much smoother-running and costs about $50 less. It does require some drilling to fit. The other options are cheaper (both in cost and quality), so I think they're probably not worth considering, but I'm open. One is the light duty Delta fence for $250. I can walk out with the Delta and Biesemeyer for $1269. Thoughts/ideas/comments? Anyone own a Steel City or Grizzly cabinet saw?
  16. This little bitch just sent me a PM whining about you guys being mean to him. I hadn't seen the posts before so I had to search on the username. Wow, one day here and already a whiny cunt.
  17. So it looks like you should go buy a few samples and water-test them. I can tell you that the stuff from Sam's is pretty impervious to water, apparently others are less so.
  18. Complete bullshit. I've got a piece that's been in the yard for several months without swelling. I'm doing a test to see how much open-weather abuse it can take. Forget wood. It's expensive, a pain in the ass to work with, and dings up easily. Sam's Club has a smokin' deal on various colors of snap-together laminate. We've done around 1100 feet of it so far and have a few hundred to go. Once you cut it, laying it down is a simple snap-fit. You use glue only in wet areas like bathrooms and entryways.
  19. We've given up on the concept of the cars and motorcycles going on the garage. They're just in the way and always get covered with sawdust. So the bikes are going in the back with covers and the cars can stay outside where they belong. I used Google Sketchup to draw the shop layout. I've also been using it to make basic drawings of wood and metal projects. It takes a few hours just to learn to use it, but then it becomes quite intuitive once you learn the complex issues of drawing in 3D. I also picked up a 3D Connexion perspective motion device, which lets you use your left hand to move in all directions while using the right hand to draw with the mouse. This device is impressive; it has something like 10 axes of motion and is VERY intuitive. In seconds I understood how to use it to move around. Using this prevents having to switch tools to move around, then switch back to draw. You can keep your drawing tools while moving, and even use a drawing tool at the same time as the motion too. The shop setup is nearly done. Need to move a few things still, like a stack of wood flooring by the freezer, but the major work is done. The dust collector plumbing is all the way to the miter saw but I ran out of fittings there. Going to 5" hard plumbing feels like it doubled the air flow. I haven't build the miter station or workbench next to it yet. And I need to run a 230v line for the bandsaw, DP, and jointer. Oh yeah, and in the past month we've been dumping old/low-end tools and buying new. So far it's been a Jet 18" bandsaw, Jet 6" jointer, Powermax 22/44" drum sander, and a Jet mini-lathe. Good tools kick ass. What a difference.
  20. I'm a little late to the party, but... First, I agree with Dave (how often do you hear that?). Stay away from those retarded "clubs." Don't buy anything from the big boxes or at retail. You don't have to. Retail is for people who aren't willing to spend a little time working for a good price. First off, look for places that sell to shops and contractors, not retail. For example, yesterday I went to a lumber yard that is a shop supplier to get pricing on some wood for a cabinet, and it was $10/board-foot. The same wood is nearly $20/bf at the local retail store and $15 at one of the "discount retail" lumber yards. Paintbrushes were $30 for 50, while they are a couple bucks at the retail stores. I needed a granite top for a bar I'm building, and found a local place with some leftovers dirt cheap, out the back door in cash. You just have to look around.
