  1. Do you mean 'Why can't everyone on Craigslist be like this?' I agree, though. I'm inching my way to a new bike. Either a Bird or your competition...the ZZR1200. *cough* (I prefer the Bird.) My point is that checking that nationwide craigslist search 90% of those posts were too short, poorly written, no explanation of anything done on the bike, no pictures or pictures the size of fingernail and furthermore most of them way over KBB retail value for the bike. They don't realize that it even says right on the site "The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the unit has been fully reconditioned and is in excellent condition." Furthermore, they want MORE than KBB or NADA's 'high retail' for all of the aftermarket stuff. They want paid back dollar for dollar for all of the stuff they put on their bike. I'm never going to get a damn bike at this rate. $6000 for a stock 2003 Bird +cans with 25000 miles 'firm' Just wait until April/May roll around and people are more eagerly selling their bikes for even higher 'spring' prices. Oh lord. Probably a good thing I'm not done saving yet and just browsing. Haven't laughed as hard as today in...quite some time.
