Suf Daddy Posted November 26, 2003 Posted November 26, 2003 Is there a special tool to shorten a chain and how do I attach the "master link"? SOB is so stretched out its past the "new chain" slot. 29,000 miles. What tinsle strenght chain do you use? DID chains shows ~9800 lbs for up to 900 cc bikes. No one stocks the 13,000lbs (1100 cc) type here. Ayers Eh? -SUf Daddy TIA Quote
blackhawkxx Posted November 26, 2003 Posted November 26, 2003 And the tool you use to break the chain is called a dremel. Won't a bolt cutter work? Quote
BIG BOY Posted December 5, 2003 Posted December 5, 2003 A dremel with cutoff wheel will work. Or a torch setup. Quote
