Chain length?

All these chain questions...is this a chain gang?!

I know the stock is 110 links. I am waiting for a +6" swingarm to arrive and I was unsure how to pick the new chain length. Is there any formula or perhaps someone knows the number of links needed?

Its an adjustable extension so if its close I'll be fine. Know of any place that sells chains with that many links? I have never ordered a chain before but I need a master link too right?

Probably have to order bulk chain.

A 530 chain is a 50 series chain.

50 series chains have a pitch of 5/8 inch, so each link is 5/8 inch.

I found a place that sells 140 length chains, they said I should use the 530VM which has a higher wear and weight rating then the 530ZVM so I guess that should to it.

Right you are...dammit! It was Lee's (Shierts) Performance who told me to use the 530VM. They said they use it on all their turbo applications I already bought the chain so I guess I'll just hope the ZVM is overspec'd for the XX.

i wanted to fix DID 530ZVM with 110 links. but the mechanic told me 110 is too short and i need a 120. is that bullshit?

At stock length and gearing? Yes 110 is stock.

yes everythin stock. so i can safely put 110? the mechanic told me once he cut off my old chain and the new one can't fit, then i will be without my bike for 2 weeks as the 120 stock will come only then. so i should go confidently and tell him to do it?
