OrganDonor Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 Just find the old oil filter, unscrew it, and screw in the new "fram." They aren't very good filters though... you're best off with a Honda branded one. Quote
E.Ness Posted August 5, 2008 Author Posted August 5, 2008 I use the honda filters, bought a few on ebay from some goldwing dealer. OD can you help me out with the proper hole to screw in the FRAME slider? Thank you Quote
OrganDonor Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 Ah.... good job. I see you edited the title of the thread, too. That "e" helps out. Quote
cbrxxquad Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 I use the honda filters, bought a few on ebay from some goldwing dealer. OD can you help me out with the proper hole to screw in the FRAME slider? Thank you Have you pulled the sides and looked at the possible locations? The one I used are the only ones that you could use. They are the farthest rearward bolts in the motor mounts just infront of your knees. They have a resess hole in the frame. Almost at the point that the body turnes down. Hell I did not know you were having trouble. I will go shoot some pictures and post them. Shit sorry. Quote
Zero Knievel Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 No pics, but the lower engine bolts are the only accessible ones that I know of, and the pics posted look correct to me. Quote

E.Ness Posted August 6, 2008 Author Posted August 6, 2008 Thanks much appreciated I had photos of the sliders after the fairing was on but not while off. Thanks for the help. le coq Quote
Rider99XX Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Be careful when you remove the engine mounting bolts, there is a spacer between the frame and engine that WILL disappear without you seeing it. I lost one and had to make a spacer out of washers. I use frame sliders from here; http://www.motovationusa.com/ and I'm happy with them. So far I haven't tried them out but they seem like well made sliders. Just be sure to use a dab of Locktite on the new slider bolts when you reinstall them. Here's a couple of photos showing installation points. Yep, those are the ones I have. Quote
