Anyhooooo ive finally got round to messing with a few bits on the bird and am looking for a decent screen/fairing black bolt set ( if possible the originals in black ) . That sounds like John. :icon_biggrin:

What these guys said. I know of no aftermarket supplier that has anything colored that has much strength to it......but an exception might be a company called Tasty Bits or something like that....don't know anything about them, but some folks here I believe have used them.

When I did an order from Jaws almost two years ago I had him toss a pack of his bolts in the box... They still look good after that long on the bike. I went with the black anodized ones... blend in perfectly, and they still look 100%.

Tasty Nuts/Pro Bolt.

U.S. Distributor (and a pretty good guy to do business with)

Not as tough as the steel stockers, you need to take a bit of care when installing and removing them- a slightly rounded hex wrench is going to get you stripped bolts. They look cool, though, and they don't rust.

That said, when I wanted the bolts blacked out on my XX, I just painted them. Took very little time and lasted a couple years before it started looking ragged.

I don't know how pricing compares but the Tasty Bits sound like the same thing Jaws carries.

Jaws are the basic domed Allen bolts made out of aluminum and then anodized.

ok cheers for suggestions guys , looks like i got an afternoon with a paintbrush coming up :icon_biggrin:

Paintbrush? Just pull the bolts out, prep 'em, push 'em through a piece of cardboard and break out the spraypaint. Spend the afternoon you saved having a few beers.
